Blazer Bash: Cimarron wins twice to advance to semifinals

Zach Culver and Trevor Doyle each went 3-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and three runs to lead Cimarron-Memorial’s baseball team to a 13-2 home win over Sylmar (California) on Tuesday in the Blazer Spring Bash.
The win moved Cimarron into the semifinals.
Elie Kligman threw a complete game and did not allow an earned run for Cimarron, and Seth Hoffman hit a double.
Cimarron-Memorial 8, Poly (Calif.) 1 — At Cimarron, Seth Hoffman fired a three-hitter eight strikeouts and no walks to lead the Spartans over the Parrots.
Trevor Doyle went 4-for-4 with two runs for the Spartans, and Zach Culver hit a double.
Durango 13, Locke (Calif.) 1 — At Durango, Daniel Hauben threw a four-hitter, and struck out eight in the Trailblazers’ five-inning win over the Saints.
Renae Lara was 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and two runs for the Trailblazers, and Ryan Barry was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs.
Jason Salazer doubled and scored three times for the Trailblazers, and Justin Lucas hit a double.
Las Vegas 5, Carson (Calif.) 4 — At Las Vegas High, Joel Anaya was hit by a pitch with bases loaded to score Kevin Verduzco in the bottom of the seventh to win it for the Wildcats over the Colts.
Verduzco had three hits, scored three times and had three RBIs for the Wildcats.
Trevor Johnson had a double for Las Vegas.
San Pedro (Calif.) 12, Moapa Valley 6 — At Sierra Vista, San Pedro scored four runs in the sixth and seventh innings to dispatch Moapa Valley.
Dax Longman went 1-for-3 with three RBIs, and Chase Hadley had an RBI for Moapa Valley.
Cain Lusic went 3-for-5 with an RBI for San Pedro.
Shadow Ridge 6, South Gate (Calif.) 5 — At Shadow Ridge, Andrue Sanchez’s single in the bottom of the seventh scored Trent McGregor to give the Mustangs the walk-off victory over the Rams.
Sanchez finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and McGregor doubled and scored twice.
Jax Holzem had a triple and two RBIs for the Mustangs, who trailed by a run entering the seventh.
Shadow Ridge 11, Garfield (Calif.) 9 — At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to beat the Bulldogs.
Jax Holzem, Tyler Black and Austin Cullor each had two RBIs for the Mustangs, and Cullor, Brennen Lyman, Jacob Schilder and Jacob Erickson each scored twice.
Faith Lutheran 12, Sylmar (Calif.) 8 — At Cimarron, the Crusaders scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to reclaim the lead and hold off the Spartans.
The Crusaders scored five runs in the bottom of the first, but Sylmar scored four in the sixth to tie it.
Jacob Ortega was 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs for the Crusaders, and Sylvester Parker had a triple, two runs and two RBIs.
Faith Lutheran’s Lucas Dockery added a double and two RBIs.
Sierra Vista 5, San Pedro (Calif.) 4 — At Sierra Vista, Nick Morice won the game for the Mountain Lions with an RBI-single in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Keanu Kinney-George singled home the game-tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning for Sierra Vista.
Tyler MacIntyre also went 2-for-5 for Sierra Vista.
Moapa Valley 5, Rim of the World (Calif.) 4 — At Sierra Vista, Chase Hadley went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Luke Bennett went 1-for-3 with an RBI to help the Pirates finish off the Fighting Scots.
Dax Longman added an RBI for Moapa Valley.
Kyler Llewan had an RBI for Rim of the World.
South Eugene (Ore.) 9, Centennial 6 — At Centennial, Bryce Boettcher hit a three-run triple in the top of the eighth to give the Axemen the win over the Bulldogs.
Boettcher was 4-for-4 with two doubles and a run.
Austin Kryszczuk was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Kris Bow went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run for Centennial. Garrett Holden went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for the Bulldogs.
Centennial 12, South Gate (Calif.) 0 — At Centennial, Bow went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs as the Bulldogs beat the Rams in five innings.
Kryszczuk was 1-for-1 with a homer and three RBIs, and Holden went 2-for-2 with a double, three runs and an RBI for Centennial.
Holden also fired a two-hitter, striking out nine and walking two, to get the win.
Arbor View 11, Centennial-Bakersfield (Calif.) 9 — At Durango, Jesse Pierce homered and had two RBIs and two runs as the Aggies took down the Golden Hawks.
John Edwards had a triple, double and three RBIs for the Aggies, who led 9-2 after two innings.
Arbor View’s Niles Scafati had an RBI and scored twice.
Basic 5, Banning (Calif.) 4 —At Durango, the Wolves topped the Pilots.
Centennial-Bakersfield (Calif.) 12, Basic 5 —At Durango, the Wolves fell to the Golden Hawks.
