LIONS TOURNEY: Costly inning dooms Green Valley

Montgomery (Calif.) rallied from a 7-0 deficit by scoring nine runs in the fourth inning on Monday to beat Green Valley 9-7 in the Mike Morrow Lions Tournament in San Diego.
Brett Harrison went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in the second inning for Green Valley. Gabe Douglas was 3-for-4 and Bobby Shiroky finished 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles for the Gators.
Bishop O’Dowd (Calif.) 12, Silverado 6 — At San Diego, Eddie Mora doubled and tripled, finishing 4-for-5 with three runs scored and one RBI to power the Dragons past the Skyhawks.
Morgan Stotts went 3-for-4 for Silverado, and Bobby Johnson was 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Mar Vista (Calif.) 7, Desert Oasis 2 — At San Diego, the Mariners scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning and sailed past the Diamondbacks.
Jason Arroyo went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored, and Marco Lopez hit 2-for-4 with one RBI for Mar Vista.
Mike Maiello hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh for Desert Oasis.
