Pahrump Valley walks past Western

Tyler Floyd went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI on Saturday to lead Pahrump Valley’s baseball team to a 13-5 road win over Western.

Willie Lucas was 1-for-2 with three runs, and Dylan Grossell went 1-for-3 with three runs and an RBI for the Trojans, who were helped by 12 walks, a hit batter and three balks.

Bradda Costa was 1-for-1 with two runs and three RBIs for Pahrump.

Jalen Denton allowed one earned run on six hits in 5⅔ innings to get the win.

Mark Gastelum doubled for Western.
