ROUNDUP: Basic rallies on Runyon’s seventh-inning single

Nick Runyon’s roller through the left side of the infield knocked in John Polin and Jake Barr with the tying and winning runs in the seventh inning, giving Basic’s baseball team to a 6-5 victory over visiting Coronado on Wednesday.
The Wolves loaded the bases on consecutive errors and an intentional walk before Runyon’s decisive hit.
Coronado took a 5-4 lead in the top of the seventh when Cody Giordano walked, advanced on a sacrifice bunt and a flyout, and scored on a wild pitch.
Mike Feher, Cody Brady and Barr each went 2-for-4 for the Wolves.
Cody Giordano homered and tripled for Coronado and Taylor Giordano also went 2-for-3. Steven Pollex hit a home run.
Foothill 7, Del Sol 3 — At Del Sol, Jake Ferdinand hit for the cycle and drove in two runs to lead the Falcons over the Dragons.
Jordan Mathis was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Foothill, and Kyle Moyes had two hits.
Winning pitcher Gabby Soto struck out 11 in six innings and doubled.
Green Valley 7, Silverado 1 — At Green Valley, Jordan Van Hoosier had two home runs, three RBIs and four runs to help the Gators defeat the Skyhawks.
Brett Harrison tripled, and John Carra and Rudy Strnad each doubled for Green Valley. Silverado’s Tanner Dushane was 2-for-3 with a home run.
Cimarron-Memorial 13, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Taylor Doyle hit for the cycle and struck out five as the winning pitcher as the Spartans beat the Mustangs.
Doyle went 4-for-5 with four runs and two RBIs. Kris Kaplan was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Vinnie Fresquez was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Cimarron.
Liberty 20, Tech 8 — At Tech, Travis Fryman homered, double and had five RBIs, and Carlos Padilla went 3-for-3 with five RBIs as the Patriots topped Roadrunners in six innings.
Dominic Guerra went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Andy Eiroa and Robert Kinan had three hits each for the Patriots, who scored 12 runs in the third inning.
Cheyenne 13, Mojave 3 — At Mojave, Andrew Graham was 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI to help the Desert Shields to a six-inning victory.
Jerraco Lindsey went 2-for-2, and Brandon Duhon had a homer and two RBIs for Cheyenne.
Laughlin 13, Henderson International 3 — At Laughlin, Jorgen Davidson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Christian Kruse was 2-fof-2 with four runs as the Cougars beat the Wolverines in five innings.
Tyler Morrison and Andre Prosise added two hits apiece for Laughlin, which finished its season with a 24-5 record.
Dennis Walters went the distance, allowing four hits, to improve to 11-0.

Sandy Valley 4-9, Baker 0-17 — At Sandy Valley, Conner Luther pitched a no-hitter in the first game as the Sidewinders split the doubleheader.
