ROUNDUP: Centennial’s Clark tosses no-hitter in five-inning rout

Cody Clark tossed a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts as the Centennial baseball team beat visiting Mojave, 14-0.

Matt Triana and Troy Hunter each went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for the Bulldogs, who scored eight runs in the first inning.

Spring Valley 13, Desert Oasis 0 — At Spring Valley, Ryan Hendershot threw a five-inning no-hitter with four strikeouts and two walks as the Grizzlies routed the Diamondbacks.

Hendershot and Cameron Cole each went 3-for-3 with two runs.

Billy Bob Ward went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs. Jackson Morrow was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs. Tyler Kartler and Enzo Bello each added two hits and two RBIs.

Silverado 5, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Drew Robinson hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning to send the Skyhawks past the Patriots.

Robinson finished 2-for-3 with two runs for Silverado, which scored three in the seventh to break a 2-2 tie. Winning pitcher Greg Gahn struck out five in six innings.

Foothill 6, Basic 5 — At Foothill, Jake Ferdinand was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs as the Falcons beat the Wolves.

Garrett Dobrolecki hit a home run for Foothill, which scored three runs in the fifth to break a 3-3 tie.

Basic’s Dean Gettmian was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Green Valley 12, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Anthony Uran went 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs as the Gators routed the

Dragons in five innings to clinch the Southeast League title.

Bobby Shiroky added two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

Nick Libonati went the distance, allowing five hits and striking out five, to get the win.

Palo Verde 13, Shadow Ridge 6 — At Palo Verde, Zac Benson was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs to lead the Panthers over the Mustangs.

Palo Verde’s Brandon Laubhan was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs.

Allan Butler homered for Shadow Ridge.

Arbor View 11, Cheyenne 3 — At Cheyenne, Zach Hartman was 3-for-5 with a double and a home run to lead the Aggies over the Desert Shields.

Arbor View’s Josh Arnold was 2-for-2.

Bishop Gorman 12, Bonanza 1 — At College of Southern Nevada, the Gaels had nine extra-base hits, including six doubles, in their five-inning win over the Bengals.

Joey Gallo was 2-for-2 with two doubles and four RBIs. R.J. Santigate was 3-for-3 with three doubles. Jeff Malm was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.

Stephen Manthei tossed a two-hitter to get the win.

Sierra Vista 12, Clark 2 — At Sierra Vista, Jake Hager was 4-for-5 with a double, triple and four RBIs to help the Mountain Lions rout the Chargers.

Sierra Vista’s Kyle Gamble was 3-for-3 with a double and David DeCarlo was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs.

Clark’s Manny Estrada was 2-for-3 with a double and Julian Cutolo was 2-for-2.

Coronado 13, Tech 2 — At Tech, Justin Souza was 3-for-4 with a double and four runs as the Cougars scored in every inning to whip the Roadrunners.

Coronado’s Dane Cooper was 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI, R.J. Cash was 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, and Taylor Giordano was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Durango 22, Western 0 — At Durango, Cameron Coombs went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI as the Trailblazers pounded 23 hits in a rout of the Warriors.

Mike Sukeyasu was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs.

Durango’s Rey Cardenas and Danny Maloney combined on a five-hitter.
