ROUNDUP: Charlton, Mountain Lions blank Basic

Tyler Charlton threw a two-hit shutout on Wednesday to help Sierra Vista’s baseball team to a 5-0 home victory over Basic.
Charlton struck out two and walked one.
Cole Crosby hit a two-run homer to highlight a three-run fifth inning. Nolan Kingham added a solo shot in the fifth.
Crosby went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Liberty 10, Bonanza 9 — At Liberty, Griffin Kelly’s single in the bottom of the sixth inning plated Jesse Keiser with the winning run as the Patriots outlasted the Bengals.
Kelly was 3-for-4 with a double, and Josh McCollum was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs for Liberty.
Alec Taft was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Austin Taft added two doubles for Bonanza, which got a three-run home run from Sean DeSoto.
Centennial 4, Silverado 2 — At Centennial, Ryan Huerta went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run to lead the Bulldogs over the Skyhawks.
Will Loucks went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Centennial, and James Harbour threw a three-hitter to get the win.
Vincent Taormina led Silverado with a double and a run.
Shadow Ridge 6, Cimarron-Memorial 4 — At Cimarron, the Mustangs scored three runs in the second and three in the fifth to top the Spartans.
Ben Fitzhugh was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Jordan Hand went 1-for-3 with an RBI for Shadow Ridge.
Logan Hold went the distance, allowing six hits and striking out five, to get the win.
Logan Bottrell was 2-for-4 for Cimarron.
Chaparral 4, Moapa Valley 2 — At Chaparral, Mark Nick O’Connor pitched six solid innings, and the Cowboys slipped past the Pirates.
Chaparral scored on an error and a sacrifice fly by Zach Harman in the second inning, then tacked on two more runs in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Tommy Crone and a run-scoring single by Eduardo Jimenez.
Kasen Hughes went 3-for-4, and Josh Repp struck out eight for Moapa Valley.
Arbor View 7, Western 2 — At Arbor View, Vince Ceffalio drove in two runs with a double and a triple, and Adam Koutz went 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Aggies beat the Warriors.
Ceffalio finished 2-for-3.
Josh Yocum hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and Ryan Guay doubled for Western.
Mojave 7, Valley 2 — At Mojave, Alex Smith tossed a six-hitter with nine strikeouts and three walks to lead the Rattlers over the Vikings.
David Rowley went 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Chase Anderson added a two-run double for Mojave.
Rayce Rayos was 2-for-3 with a double and a run for Valley.
O’Connor (Ariz.) 11, Bishop Gorman 10 — At Phoenix, O’Connor scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to nip the Gaels in the Coach Bob Invitational.
Kenny Meimerstorf was 2-for-4 with a grand slam, and Jerrell Latham went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for the Gaels.
Legacy 11, Eldorado 4 — At Eldorado, Joey Ingarra went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to lift the Longhorns over the Sundevils.
Quinten Ewing had a two-run double for Legacy.
Lucio Arreola notched two hits for Eldorado.
Sunrise Mountain 13, Virgin Valley 5 — At Sunrise Mountain, Brandon Medeiros was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs as the Miners topped the Bulldogs.
Andrew Baca had two doubles and two RBIs for Sunrise Mountain.
Winning pitcher Frankie Apodaca struck out 12 in 5 2/3 innings of work.
Green Valley 14, Boulder City 4 — At Green Valley, Michael Hillcoat homered twice and drove in four runs, and Blake Inouye went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs as the Gators routed the Eagles in five innings.
Ty Burger was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, and Christian Hall supplied two hits for Green Valley.
Ryan Jackson struck out 10 in a three-hitter to get the win.
Tanner Howell tripled and homered for Boulder City.
Tech 13, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Abel Martinez hurled a six-inning four-hitter to help the Roadrunners rout the Jaguars.
Sebastian Fitzgerald supplied a double and four RBIs, Bryan Casas smacked a two-run triple, and Kevin Castillo had two hits and an RBI for Tech.
Iquan Corsey contributed two hits, and Jorge Tepetci had a double for Desert Pines.
The Meadows 17, Mountain View 1 — At The Meadows, Justin Diamond tossed a five-inning three-hitter with 14 strikeouts as the Mustangs topped the Saints in the opening game of a doubleheader.
The second game was suspended due to darkness in the top of the sixth inning with The Meadows leading, 12-5.
