ROUNDUP: Feher, Basic edge Foothill in pitching duel

Mike Feher threw a two-hitter Tuesday night to lead Basic to a 4-3 home win over Foothill.

It was the first Southeast League loss for the Falcons (9-10, 5-1).

Feher allowed one earned run and struck out four.

The Wolves managed just two hits but were helped by five Foothill errors.

Foothill’s Gaby Soto pitched a complete game and also doubled.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Legacy 7 — At Legacy, Kris Kaplan went 3-for-4 with five RBIs, including a three-run homer, to power the Spartans over the Longhorns.

Bradley Oswald doubled twice and winning pitcher Dyllon Nuernberg went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI for Cimarron.

Arbor View 12, Cheyenne 2 — At Arbor View, Chris Manning had two home runs and five RBIs to help the Aggies to the six-inning win.

Tyler LeBaron added a two-run homer for Arbor View.

Winning pitcher Zack Hartman went the distance, striking out seven. Jacob Badger was 2-for-4 with a double for the Aggies.

Green Valley 12, Del Sol 1 — At Green Valley, Evan Van Hoosier was 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Gators to a five-inning win over the Dragons.

Nolan Kohorst tossed five solid innings, scattering six hits with six strikeouts, to earn the win.

Green Valley’s Anthony Uran was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Del Sol’s Jerret Tufono was 2-for-3 with a home run.

Silverado 13, Liberty 1 — At Silverado, Braden Keathley pitched a five-inning three-hitter to help the Skyhawks cruise by the Patriots.

Keathley struck out nine and issued no walks.

Pierce Belaustegui was 3-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the offense. Bobby Johnson went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs, and Keathley added a home run.

Palo Verde 14, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Mike Pickrell hit a three-run home run to highlight a five-run first inning for the Panthers.

Pickrell finished 2-for-3 with five RBIs.

Winning pitcher Austin Del Castillo allowed only two hits, walked two and struck out two to get the win.

Sierra Vista 14, Clark 0 — At Clark, Brooks Klein and David DeCarlo each had a double and a home run in a 12-run first inning for the Mountain Lions.

DeCarlo finished 2-for-2 with four RBIs, and Klein was 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Tommy Barnes and Kyle Gamble combined on a three-hitter.

Travis Pullen went 2-for-2 for Clark.

Centennial 23, Mojave 3 — At Mojave, the Bulldogs scored 11 runs in the first inning on the way to a five-inning rout of the Rattlers.

Seven players doubled and three hit home runs for Centennial, which led 23-0 after three innings.

Anthony Consiglio (2-for-2, three RBIs), Chapman Schmidt (2-for-3, four RBIs) and Loral Monson homered for the Bulldogs.

Centennial’s Austin Congleton was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Matt Triana 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Winning pitcher Anthony Antos tossed a three-hitter.

Durango 26, Western 12 — At Western, Greg McKinney hit for the cycle to lead the Trailblazers over the Warriors.

McKinney drove in six runs. Cameron Coombs was 3-for-3 with two homers and four RBIs for Durango, which led 16-0 after two innings.

Spring Valley 18, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Aaron Blair struck out five and pitched a one-hitter as the Grizzlies beat the Diamondbacks in five innings.

Spring Valley’s Chase LaComb was 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and three RBIs, Billy Bob Ward was 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs, and Garrett Blair was 3-for-4 with a triple.

Coronado 18, Tech 0 — At Coronado, Justin Souza was 4-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs to help the Cougars to a five-inning win over the Roadrunners.

Coronado’s Scott Houck was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, and Taylor Giordano was 2-for-3 with five RBIs.

Winning pitcher Alex Watson allowing three hits and no walks and struck out six.

Las Vegas 7, Faith Lutheran 6 — At Faith Lutheran, Quinnton Mack led off the top of the eighth inning with a home run to lift Las Vegas past the Crusaders.

The Wildcats carried a 6-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning, but the Crusaders scored twice in the sixth and three times in the seventh to force an extra inning.

The tying run scored on a wild throw trying to complete what would have been a game-ending double play.

Tanner Chauncey went 3-for-4 with a double for Las Vegas, and teammate Robert Melendrez had two hits, including a double, and two RBis.

Eric Amundson had three hits, including two doubles, for Faith Lutheran.

The Meadows 14, Lake Mead 3 — At Lake Mead, Mike Wallace homered and Brandon Thomas and Garrett Gosse each had a double as the Mustangs beat the Eagles in five innings.

Lake Mead’s Doug Johnson hit a home run.

Laughlin 13-15, Mountain View 0-8 — At Laughlin, Dennis Walters tossed a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk to lead the Cougars over the Saints in the first game.

Christian Kruse, who was 2-for-3 with five RBIs, hit a grand slam to end the first game by the 10-run rule.

In the second game, Eric Chez was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to power Laughlin.

Zach Sesulka was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Walters was 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored for the Cougars.

Needles 12, Boulder City 2 — At Boulder City, Bobby Stahel went 2-for-2 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Mustangs past the Eagles.

Needles built a 7-0 lead after two innings.

Ryan Bowen was 2-for-4 for Boulder City.
