ROUNDUP: Four-run sixth drives Tech past Del Sol

Travis James was 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs to help Tech’s baseball team to an 11-6 home win over Del Sol on Tuesday.

Justin Vasquez was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Josh West keyed the Roadrunners’ four-run sixth with a two-out, two-run double.

Vasquez went the distance, allowing three earned runs and striking out eight, to get the win.

Del Sol’s Jeff Coon went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Desert Pines 12, Canyon Springs 11 — At Canyon Springs, Josh Alaniz went 3-for-4 with a double, and Amador Rivera was 3-for-3 as the Jaguars took a 12-2 fourth-inning lead and held off the Pioneers.

Robert Hernandez was 2-for-4 with two doubles for the Jaguars.

Rancho 7, Valley 2 — At Valley, Kevin Kline went 3-for-4 with a triple to help the Rams beat the Vikings.

Winning pitcher Eric Holdren notched 10 strikeouts in six innings, and Zak Qualls struck out three in one inning of relief.

Juan Robles was 2-for-4 with a double and drove in both of Valley’s runs.

Liberty 18, Coronado 8 — At Liberty, Michael Vargas doubled and homered, and Manuel Menocal doubled twice with three RBIs as the Patriots outslugged the Cougars in five innings.

Danny Topps and Teddy Efthemeou each doubled twice, and Kainan Pickle was 3-for 4 with two RBIs and three runs scored for Liberty.

Taylor Giordano went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs for Coronado.

Silverado 17, Basic 5 — At Silverado, Drew Robsinson, Bobby Johnson, Morgan Stotts and Jeremy Morski each homered and the Skyhawks scored in every inning to rout the Wolves in six innings.

Mike Meyers and A.J. Ford each doubled twice, and Wyatt Reid went 4-for-4 with four runs scored for Silverado.

Morski earned the win and was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Skyhawks.

Las Vegas 22, Eldorado 8 — At Eldorado, Quinnton Mack went 4-for-6 with a home run and two RBIs, and Xavier Palmer was 4-for-4 with a double and a home run as the Wildcats overpowered the Sundevils in six innings.

Tanner Chauncey tripled, Robert Melendrez doubled twice, and Dillon Dove and Andrew Manfra each added a double for Las Vegas, which scored nine runs in the sixth inning.

Alan Guerrero homered for Eldorado.

Chaparral  20, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Sunrise Mountain, Raul Jimenez was 2-for-3 with a double, a homer and six RBIs to help the Cowboy rout the Miners.

Ricky Perez had a double and four RBIs, and Steve Colon went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs for Chaparral.

Daniel Guardado went 2-for-3 for Sunrise Mountain.

Boulder City 28, Clark 10 — At Clark, Nate Hafen went 4-for-6 with three doubles and four RBIs to help the Eagles to a romp over the Chargers in five innings.

Preston Swasey was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for Boulder City, and teammates Ross LaMarca and Steven Kaposta each added three hits.

Clark’s Jordan Ivy doubled twice and scored two runs.

Laughlin 13-2, Sandy Valley 1-1 — At Laughlin, Cameron Kruse tripled with two outs in the bottom of the seventh and scored on a single by Zach Sesulka to give the Cougars the sweep of the Sidewinders.

Kruse’s hit broke up a no-hitter.

In the first game, Laughlin took advantage of seven errors, four walks and five hit batters to win in five innings.

Trinity 18, Spring Mountain 11 — At Rivera Field, Damen Cook went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double and five RBIs to lead the Thunder past the Eagles.

Henderson International 16, Lake Mead 8 — At Henderson International, Charles Pachas went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBIs, and Keenan Gladd-Brown was 3-for-4 with a triple to help the Wolverines cruise past the Eagles.

Jay Sutorius notched two doubles, and winning pitcher Boomer Sherrill went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs.

Lake Mead’s Devin Serrano went 3-for-4 with a home run, and Alex Uceda added three hits for the Eagles.
