ROUNDUP: Freshman Arreola tosses three-hitter in Sundevils’ win

Freshman Lucio Arreola threw a three-hitter Thursday to help Eldorado’s baseball team to a 6-3 road victory over Chaparral.
 
Arreola allowed one earned run while striking out four and walking four.
 
Alan Guerrero was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Sundevils, who scored three runs in the first inning and never trailed.
 
Eric Larsen went 2-for-3 with two runs, and Sammy Gonzales added a pair of singles for the Sundevils.
 
Liberty 5, Silverado 3 — At Liberty, Anthony Rush was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, and the Patriots did all their damage in the first three innings before holding off the Skyhawks.
 
Marcos Rivera and Danny Topps each went 2-for-3 and scored a run for the Patriots, and Kainan Pickle added two hits.
 
Drew Robinson was 3-for-4 with two doubles for Silverado. Bobby Johnson, A.J. Ford and Keremy Morski each added two hits for the Skyhawks.
 
Cimarron-Memorial 8, Damonte Ranch 7 — At Cimarron, Cody Stafford scored on a base hit by Nathan Hale in the bottom of the eighth to give the Spartans the win.
 
Stafford led off the inning with a single and went to second on a sacrifice bunt by A.J. Hernandez.
 
Hernandez was 2-for-4 with a run and three RBIs to lead Cimarron. Hale and James Carraway each added two hits for the Spartans.
Anthony Rosa and Trent Beers belted a solo home runs for Damonte Ranch.
 
Foothill 12, Basic 2 — At Foothill, Kyle Moyes went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead the Falcons past the Wolves in six innings.
 
Eddie Yanez was 3-for-3 and Garret Dobrolecki homered for Foothill, which scored eight runs in the sixth inning.
 
Green Valley 14, Del Sol 2 — At Del Sol, the Gators sent 15 batters to the plate in the fifth, scoring 11 runs, to put away the Dragons.
 
Bobby Shiroky was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Green Valley, which had seven of its 11 hits in the fifth.
 
Gabe Douglas had a double, a triple and four RBIs, Brett Harrison was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, and Cameron Harper went 2-for-3 with three runs and a solo homer for the Gators.
 
Rancho 20, Desert Pines 3 — At Desert Pines, Justin Pankratz was 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple and four RBIs, and Brandon Pletsch was 2-for-4 with a triple, a double and five RBIs to lead the Rams past the Jaguars in five innings.
 
It was Pletsch’s 22nd career triple, which is a state record according to the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association record book.
 
Gabe Chavira was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Rancho, which scored 11 runs in the third inning.
 
Las Vegas 16, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, Brig Jensen went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs, and Tanner Chauncey was 3-for-3 with two triples, a double and three RBIs as the Wildcats routed the Pioneers in five innings.
 
Robert Melendrez went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs, and teammate Xavier Palmer added a double and a triple for the Wildcats.
 
Dillon Dove had two RBIs for Las Vegas.
 
Coronado 10, Tech 0 — At Tech, Trenton Gibson tossed a five-inning two-hitter with six strikeouts to lead the Cougars past the Roadrunners.
 
Matt Hall tripled and drove in three runs for Coronado, which plated seven runs in the third inning. Scott Hauck had a triple and two RBIs, and Chris Blake added a double and two RBIs for the Cougars.
 
Valley 14, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Sunrise Mountain, Eric Herring hit for the cycle in a 5-for-5 effort and drove in four runs as the Vikings rallied from a 3-1 third-inning deficit to rout the Miners in six innings.
 
Hansel Escamilla added a two-run homer for the Vikings.
 
Reno 7, Palo Verde 5 — At Palo Verde, the Huskies broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the top of the fifth inning to edge the Panthers.
 
Christian Centrella was 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI for Palo Verde. Billy Bob Ward went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Zac Benson added a two-run homer for the Panthers.
 
Wooster 13, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, the Colts built an 11-0 third-inning lead and coasted to the win over the Desert Shields in five innings.
 
Austin Green was 2-for-2 with an RBI for Cheyenne.
 
Lake Mead 14, Calvary Chapel 13 — At Paul Meyer Park, Drew Erickson belted a three-run home run to cap a four-run rally in the top of the seventh inning as the Eagles slipped past Calvary Chapel.
Bryan Scott went 3-for-5 for Lake Mead, and teammate Devin Serrano was 2-for-4 with five RBIs.
