ROUNDUP: Hall’s walk-off homer sends Green Valley past Grizzlies

Christian Hall’s solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning Monday lifted Green Valley’s baseball team to a 5-4 win over visiting Spring Valley.

Hall finished with two RBIs for the Gators. Blake Inouye was 3-for-4 with a double, and Cody Milner went 2-for-4 with a double for Green Valley.

Michael Macove had two doubles for Spring Valley.

Bishop Gorman 7, Quartz Hill (Calif.) 6 —
 At Phoenix, pinch-hitter Austin Cram’s fly ball over the center fielder’s head with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning plated Nick Gates with the winning run as the Gaels scored four times in the seventh to nip Quartz Hill in the Coach Bob Invitational.

Gorman trailed 6-1 before Michael Blasko belted a two-run home run in the fifth inning.

Blasko started the seventh-inning rally with a double and scored on Kenny Meimerstorf’s homer.

Cole Krzmarzick doubled and scored on Gates hit. Matt Judd walked, and Kai Domingo’s bunt loaded the bases ahead of Cram.

Blasko was 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Judd was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Domingo went 2-for-4.

Valley 10, Cheyenne 9 — At Valley, Jared Limbeck’s RBI and a Cheyenne throwing error allowed the tying and winning runs to score in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Vikings rallied twice to beat the Desert Shields.

Kevin Rocha was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Limbeck went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Valley, which scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game.

Terry Oechslin went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for Cheyenne, and teammate Korey Poole was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. 

Sierra Vista 4, Silverado 3 — At Sierra Vista, Nolan Kingham was 2-for-3 with a triple, and the Mountain Lions used a three-run fourth inning to nip the Skyhawks.

Nick Kawano had three hits, and Dillon Johnson added two doubles for Silverado.

Arbor View 9, Bonanza 4 — At Bonanza, Nate Stepna was 3-for-5 with a triple, a double, two runs and an RBI to help the Aggies top the Bengals.

P.J. Gonzalez was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, and winning pitcher Adam Koutz went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Arbor VIew.

Austin Taft was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Bonanza.

Coronado 4, Faith Lutheran 0 —
At Coronado, Dylan Myers allowed two hits and struck out seven in five innings of work to lead the Cougars past the Crusaders.

Tyler Brown and Michael Maiello each supplied a double, an RBI and a run scored for Coronado.

Tyler Trageton finished 2-for-3 to lead Faith Lutheran.

Moapa Valley 7, Desert Pines 3 — At Overton, Jared Repp, Jake Repp and Josh Repp each went 2-for-4 and combined for four RBIs and a run scored to lead the Pirates over the Jagaurs.

Iquan Corsey hit a home run for Desert Pines.

Western 9, Canyon Springs 0 — At Western, Javier Ruiz tossed a two-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Warriors by the Pioneers.

Josh Yocum was 2-for-2 with a triple, a double, two RBIs and three runs for Western.

Liberty 12, Palo Verde 0 — At Liberty, Giovanni Battistoni tossed a five-inning three-hitter, striking out six on only 52 pitches, to lead the Patriots by the Panthers in the Tom Coleman Classic.

Chris Bradford was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBIs, and Jesse Keiser was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI for Liberty.

Josh McCollum went 1-for-2 with a double and three RBIs for the Patriots.

Centennial 16, Basic 3 — At Basic, Porter Rosenkrantz went 2-for-3 with a double and six RBIs as the Bulldogs routed the Wolves in five innings in the Tom Coleman Classic.

Ryan Huerta was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and two RBIs, and Will Loucks went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Centennial.

Anthony Lee was 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI for Basic.

Basic 11, Las Vegas 4 — At Basic, Tyler Long went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Hunter Robinson was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI as the Wolves topped the Wildcats.

Jaden Ream was 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI for Basic.

Dustin Cash went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Las Vegas.

Boulder City 15, Virgin Valley 2 —
 At Boulder City, Bill Barth was 2-for-3 with two runs and four RBIs, and Peyton Koopman went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, two runs and and an RBI to help the Eagles top the Bulldogs in five innings.

Boulder City starter Tino Ragone allowed just one hit and struck out nine in three innings.

Chaparral 4, Tech 1 — At Tech, Zach Harman and Brian Moya each went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Cowboys defeated the Roadrunners.
