ROUNDUP: Harrison drives in eight as Gators blast Bulldogs

Green Valley’s Brett Harrison was 4-for-4 with two home runs and eight RBIs to lead the Gators to a 13-3 home victory over Centennial in the Lion Kickoff on Saturday.

Harrison notched a grand slam and a three-run homer.

Evan Van Hoosier added three hits, including a home run, for Green Valley.

Green Valley 8, Rancho 3 — At Green Valley, Alec Hutt tossed an eight-hitter and went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run as the Gators topped the Rams.

Gabe Douglas went 2-for-4 with a double for Green Valley, which used a five-run second inning to take control.

Zak Qualls and Scott Koenen each went 2-for-3 with a solo home run for Rancho.

Sierra Vista 14, Faith Lutheran 7 — At Sierra Vista, Scott Tomassetti hit 2-for-3 with two home runs and six RBIs to lead the Mountain Lions past the Crusaders in the Lion Kickoff.

Tomassetti had a grand slam in Sierra Vista’ 10-run first inning.

Alex Estrella was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for the Mountain Lions.

Sierra Vista 9, Legacy 0 — At Sierra Vista, Jake Hager was 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs to help the Mountain Lions down the Longhorns in the Lion Kickoff.

Armando Perez went 3-for-4, and Tyler Condie threw six shutout innings to get the win. He allowed five hits and struck out four.

Rancho 19, Centennial 8 — At Green Valley, Manny Llamas was 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and six RBIs to power the Rams to a five-inning win over the Bulldogs.

Michael Cruz was 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs, and Justin Pankratz hit 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and three runs for Rancho, which had 19 hits. Koenen and Brandon Pletsch each added a home run for the Rams.

Centennial’s Chapman Schmidt and Bryan Bonnell slugged a home run apiece.

Coronado 7, Faith Lutheran 5 — At Sierra Vista, Dillon Fahr went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Cougars past the Crusaders in the Lion Kickoff.

Tyler Trageton was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run for Faith Lutheran.

Coronado 7, Legacy 1 — At Sierra Vista, Jordan Scott and Ryan Donahue each went 2-for-2 to help the Cougars top the Longhorns in the Lion Kickoff.

Scott scored two runs, and Donahue had two runs and two RBIs.

Palo Verde 3, Bonanza 1 — At Palo Verde, Matt Hutchings tossed a six-hitter with 10 strikeouts and three walks to lead the Panthers past the Bengals.

Kevin Desoto was 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI for Palo Verde, and teammate Lukas Rodriguez went 1-for-2 with a double, a run and an RBI.

David Estrada hit 2-for-3 for the Bengals.

Arbor View 3-4, Spring Valley 1-12 — At Arbor View, Bryce Wildenberg and Evan McMahan combined on a five-hitter in the opener as the Aggies split a doubleheader with the Grizzlies.

Wildenberg tossed six innings, allowing only one unearned run, in the first game.

McMahan, who earned a save, stroked a two-run single in the fourth inning, and Jordan Godman added a solo home run in the fifth for the Aggies.

In the nightcap, Jose Rodales-Rodarte went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI to help the Grizzlies pull away.

Jacob Schwartz was 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs, and Glenn Smith went 3-for-4 for Spring Valley.

Silverado 17, Shadow Ridge 7 — At Silverado, Marty Sifuentes hit a perfect 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBIs as the Skyhawks overcame an early 6-0 deficit to rout the Mustangs in five innings.

Wyatt Reid was 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBIs for Silverado.

Brandon Show went 2-for-3, and Troy Williams added a three-run homer for Shadow Ridge.

Snow Canyon (Utah) 6, Cimarron-Memorial 4 At St. George, Utah, Snow Canyon scored a run in the bottom of the fifth to break a 4-4 tie on the way to the win in the championship game of the Little Caesar's Invitational.

A.J. Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Kevin Dorantes doubled and drove in two runs for Cimarron.

Cimarron-Memorial 6, Lehi (Utah) 3 — At St. George, Nick Borowski was 2-for-2 with two RBIs to lead the Spartans into the title game.

Nathan Hale was 3-for-4 with a run, and Kevin Dorantes was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Cimarron.

Snow Canyon (Utah) 6, Foothill 3 — At St. George, the Warriors scored twice in the bottom of the fourth to break a 3-3 tie and held on for the win in the Little Caesar’s Invitational.

Foothill’s Anthony Lopez was 3-for-4 with a solo home run.

Foothill 19, Herriman (Utah) 6 — At St. George, Tim Dupuis went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs to lead the Falcons to the easy win.

Josh Smock was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Foothill, and teammate Zack Steiber added a double and a triple.

Canyon View (Utah) 5, Del Sol 4 — At Del Sol, the Dragons loaded the bases with one out in the seventh inning, but were unable to tie the game.

Luis Grullon went 2-for-4 for Del Sol, and David Day scored two runs.

Canyon View (Utah) 5, Chaparral 2 — At Chaparral, Jordan January went 2-for-3 for the Cowboys in defeat.
