ROUNDUP: Hutt leads fourth-inning burst, helps Gators down Falcons

Alec Hutt’s three-run home run keyed a four-run fourth inning that helped Green Valley’s baseball team to a 9-4 home win over Foothill on Tuesday.

Cody Milner and Evan Van Hoosier each supplied two hits for Green Valley, which got a double each from Derrick Harmon and Bradon Rogers. The four-run fourth gave the Gators a 6-0 lead, but Foothill came back with four runs in the top of the sixth before Green Valley held on.

Keola Paragas earned the win with eight strikeouts and no walks in 5 2/3 innings.

The win gives the Gators sole possession of fourth place in the Southeast League at 7-4. Foothill is tied with Silverado for second at 8-3.

Foothill’s Anthony Lopez doubled twice, and Tyler Van Stone added a double for the Falcons.

Coronado 8, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Kaleb Blyton went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI as the Cougars topped the Patriots.

Chandler Blanchard was 2-for-3 for Coronado, and winning pitcher Dylan Meyers threw a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and four walks.

Sunrise Mountain 11, Chaparral 4 — At Sunrise Mountain, Nick Snyder doubled twice and drove in a run, and Ricardo Corral went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Miners powered past the Cowboys.

Saul Blanco had a double with two RBIs, and Omar Espino added a double for Sunrise Mountain, which got a complete game with eight strikeouts from winning pitcher Michael Estrada.

Las Vegas 8, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Dillon Dove tossed a four-hitter and struck out nine as the Wildcats wrapped up the Northeast League’s No. 1 seed for the Sunrise Region Tournament by blanking the Sundevils.

Dove also tripled and drove in two runs, and teammate Dustin Cash was 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs.

Silverado 13, Basic 3 — At Silverado, Mark Janosik went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a run, and Wyatt Reid had three hits with a triple, two runs and an RBI in leading the Skyhawks past the Wolves in six innings.

Mike Meyers was 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI, and Cameron Rosser and Josh Bravin each supplied a double for Silverado.

Caleb Barr hit a double for Basic.

Del Sol 16, Tech 9 — At Tech, Oscar Lopez drilled two home runs, and Dylan Greer went 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs to help the Dragons rally past the Roadrunners.

Danny Ortega was 3-for-5 with a home run and a triple, and Brandon Hubbs supplied three hits and scored twice for Del Sol, which trailed 5-3 after three innings but exploded for nine runs in the sixth inning after tying the game in the fifth.

Tech’s Edgar Hernandez was 3-for-5 with two runs.

Desert Pines 13, Canyon Springs 9 — At Canyon Springs, Robert Hernandez went 4-for-5 with two RBIs as the Pioneers outlasted the Jaguars.

Iquan Corsey went 2-for-3 wih two double, four RBIs and two runs scored for Desert Pines.

Rancho 18, Valley 7 — At Valley, Cody Suarez was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to help the Rams down the Vikings in five innings.

Josh Mill was 2-for-5 with a double and four RBIs for Rancho, which scored 12 runs in the top of the first.

Max Cruz came on in relief in the second inning, striking out seven, to get the win.

Desert Oasis 13, Palo Verde 3 — At Desert Oasis, Jossaiah Raval went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs and five RBIs as the Diamondbacks downed the Panthers in five innings.

Tyler Condie was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs and two RBIs for Desert Oasis, which had 16 hits.

Jordan Compehos was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI.

Indian Springs 4, Pahranagat Valley 1 — At Alamo, Dominic Morgando pitched a four-hitter with two walks and five strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Thunderbirds past the Panthers.

Ross Guaspari was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI for Indian Springs, which scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning to go up 4-1.

Mountain View 20, Lake Mead 3 — At Mountain View, Logan Christie pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead the Saints past the Eagles in five innings.

Noah Van Kempen was 2-for-2 with two runs and three RBIs for Mountain View, which led 20-0 after three innings.

Spring Mountain 26, Trinity 6 — At Rivera Park, Cristian Cazares-Perez was the winning pitcher and went 2-for-2 with an inside-the-park home run and a double as the Eagles rolled the Thunder in a game called after three innings.

Joseph Skeirik went 3-for-3 with a triple for Spring Mountain, which scored 26 runs on five hits.
