ROUNDUP: Kingham highlights on mound, at plate to lift Mountain Lions into league-leading tie

Nick Kingham hit a two-run home run and pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks Thursday to lead Sierra Vista’s baseball team to a 13-0 win at Spring Valley and grab a share of first place in the Southwest League.

Billy Santiwan went 3-for-4 with a triple, and Julian Cutulo and Alex Estrella each went 2-for-4 for Sierra Vista, which improved to 5-0 in league play and moved into a tie with Bishop Gorman at the top of the league standings.

Bonanza 10, Clark 0 — At Bonanza, Hunter Davidson tossed a four-hit shutout and went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as the Bengals blanked the Chargers in five innings.

Anthony Risucci supplied two RBI-sacrifice bunts for Bonanza.

Brandon Adams belted a triple for Clark.

Durango 6, Desert Oasis 2 — At Desert Oasis, Ricky Gonzales went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored to help the Trailblazers defeat the Diamondbacks.

Jordan Hodges finished 2-for-4 with a run, a double and an RBI for the Trailblazers.

Brennan Stodt was 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI for Desert Oasis.

Centennial 23, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Bryan Bonnell hit 3-for-3 with a grand slam and five RBIs, and Loral Monson belted a solo home run to power the Bulldogs in a five-inning rout of the Rattlers.

Anthony Antos pitched four no-hit innings with seven strikeouts, and teammate Adrian Rodriguez went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI for Centennial, which scored 22 runs in the second and third innings.

David Deminguez doubled for Mojave.

Palo Verde 26, Cheyenne 3 — At Cheyenne, Cody Schuster went 4-for-5 with two of Palo Verde’s 10 doubles, four RBIs and four runs scored as the Panthers routed the Desert Shields in five innings.

Christian Centrella finished 4-for-4 with two triples, a double, three RBIs and four runs scored; and Andy Dalaimo was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored for the Panthers.

Dan Jaffe and Dillon Meyer each hit home runs for Palo Verde, which had 14 extra-base hits.

Louie Lopez hit a solo home run for Cheyenne.

Arbor View 13, Shadow Ridge 10 — At Shadow Ridge, Zack Hartman’s triple helped the Aggies score four runs in the seventh inning and overtake the Mustangs. 

Tyler LeBaron went 5-for-5 with a run scored and three RBIs, and Pedro Gonzales was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for Arbor View. Teammate Colton Hinrickson hit a two-run homer for the Aggies, which powered 17 hits.

Troy Williams was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Shadow Ridge.

Canyon Springs 14, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Sunrise Mountain, Tahj Kehoe went 5-for-5 with a double and five RBIs, and the Pioneers scored 12 runs in the final two innings to cruise past the Miners.

Shaun Dungey tossed a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Canyon Springs. Larry Dungey was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Pioneers.

Las Vegas 5, Valley 3 — At Las Vegas, Tanner Chauncey doubled twice with two RBIs, and Dillon Dove pitched a six-hitter as the Wildcats slipped past the Vikings.

Robert Melendrez singled twice and had an RBI for Las Vegas.

Richard Sandoval doubled twice with an RBI, and Marcus Mejia added two singles and an RBI for Valley.

Rancho 12, Eldorado 2 — At Eldorado, Kevin Kline hit a three-run homer in the third inning and finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Rams past the Sundevils in five innings.

Brandon Pletsch and Zak Qualls each went 2-for-3 with three runs, and Gabe Chavira hit 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Rancho.

Chaparral 12, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Robert Evans was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs, and Mark Faranda was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs to help the Cowboys in a rout of the Jaguars.

Elliot Aleman was 2-for-4, and Raul Jimenez added an RBI triple for Chaparral.

Adam Leclere went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles for Desert Pines. Roberto Caton finished 2-for-3, and Josh Alaniz tripled for the Jaguars.

Lake Mead 3, Laughlin 1 — At Lake Mead, Bryan Scott and Drew Erickson combined to toss a five-hitter as the Eagles nipped the Cougars.

Erickson and Devin Serrano each had a double, a single and an RBI for Lake Mead.

Jorgen Davidson had two doubles and an RBI, and Christian Cruz contributed two hits for Laughlin.
