ROUNDUP: Quintana’s fifth-inning homer drives Aggies past Skyhawks

Zach Quintana was 2-for-3, including a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to break a 4-4 tie, as Arbor View’s baseball team defeated visiting Silverado 6-5 on Thursday.
Jason Hicks went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to help Arbor View, which rallied from an early 2-0 deficit.
Mike Meyers went 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBIs to lead Silverado.
Clark 7, Cheyenne 6 — At Clark, Isaac Velazquez singled in the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Chargers past the Desert Shields.
Jordan Ivy had a two-run homer to help Clark, which fell behind 4-1 before rallying with four runs in the fifth inning. Teammate Greg McKinney was 3-for-3.
Mike Quiroz went the distance for Clark, striking out 10.
Jeremy Cunha was 3-for-4 with a triple to lead Cheyenne.
Palo Verde 5, Bonanza 4 — At Bonanza, Chris Hopballe drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the top of the seventh inning to lift the Panthers past the Bengals in the Bengal Baseball Tournament.
Jared Webb went 2-for-3 with a triple to help Palo Verde, which rallied after falling behind 4-0 early.
Joe Merino was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Bonanza, and pitcher Braiden Gray struck out 10 batters before tiring in the sixth.
Western 2, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Reggie Williams hit a two-run single to plate Ryan Garbowski and Jesus Serrano in the seventh inning to give the Warriors the win over the Eagles.
Josh Yocum threw a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts to earn the win for Western.
Boulder City’s Jack LaMarca also threw a three-hitter, striking out 10.
Green Valley 10, Coronado 9 — At Coronado, Alec Hutt capped a four-run sixth inning with an RBI double that plated Brett Harrison with the winning run as the Gators rallied past the Cougars in the Lion Kickoff.
Hutt, who also had a three-run homer in the first inning, was 2-for-4 with four RBIs. Evan Van Hoosier added a two-run home run in the sixth for the Gators, who trailed 9-6 entering the inning.
Chris Blake slugged a grand slam in Coronado’s seven-run first inning.
Centennial 5, Faith Lutheran 4 — At Centennial, Ian Ogurek grounded into a fielder’s choice to score Bryan Bonnell from third base with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Bulldogs edged the Crusaders in the Lion Kickoff.
Keith Krueger went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Centenial, which got two hits, a run and an RBI from Casey Moses. Drake Sacenti picked up the win in relief.
David Edson went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a double.
Faith Lutheran 5, Legacy 4 — At Centennial, Blake Matthias scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the fourth inning as the Crusaders rallied from deficits of 2-0, 3-2 and 4-3 to nip the Longhorns in the Lion Kickoff.
Edson’s RBI single tied the game in the fourth inning for Faith Lutheran. Brandt Yee was 2-for-3 for the Crusaders.
Legacy 7, Centennial 6 — At Centennial, the Longhorns plated five runs in the top of the fourth en route to the win in the Lion Kickoff.
Alex Wenzel was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, and Josh Torres was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Legacy.
Centennial’s Moses was 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, and Bonnell went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Liberty 10, Spring Valley 8 — At Spring Valley, Anthony Rush hit a three-run triple to highlight an eight-run third inning for the Patriots.
Manuel Menocal was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Michael Vargas went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Teddy Efthemeou hit 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for the Patriots.
Tyler Kartler went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs and two RBIs to lead Spring Valley. Dylan Drachler was 3-for-4 with three runs for the Grizzlies.
Basic 16, Chaparral 6 — At Basic, David Romero went 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs to lead the Wolves past the Cowboys.
Nelson Kent was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Dean Gettman had a three-run homer for Basic.
Chaparral’s Jordan January went 2-for-3 from the plate.
Snow Canyon (Utah) 4, Cimarron-Memorial 2 — At St. George, Utah, Nick Mickels hit a two-run homer to highlight a four-run sixth inning as the Warriors rallied to defeat the Spartans in the Little Caesar’s Invitational.
Nathan Hale and Kevin Dorantes each had a solo home run in the fourth inning for Cimarron.
