ROUNDUP: Schumacher’s walk-off grand slam lifts Panthers by Durango

Cole Schumacher belted a walk-off grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday to lift host Palo Verde’s baseball team to an 8-4 win over Durango.

Schumacher finished 2-for-2 with five RBIs.

Brett Bovee was 3-for-4 with two two runs for the Panthers, who led 4-0 entering the sixth inning.

Scott Martinez went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Durango, which scored three runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to tie the game.

Clark 6, Mojave 5 — At Clark, Chaisson Petrick scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Chargers past the Rattlers.

Wyatt Blackwell tied the game at 5-5 with a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth for Clark. Teammate Justin Almazan was 2-for-4.

Mojave took the lead in the fifth on a two-run double by Chase Anderson, who later scored on a wild pitch.

Andrew Ehrensaft went 2-for-4 for the Rattlers.

Rancho 6, Las Vegas 1 — At Rancho, Keifer McLendon went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs and tossed a seven-hitter with six strikeouts and two walks to lead the Rams by the Wildcats.

Bryce Harrell was 3-for-3 with two runs for Rancho.

Western 7, Pahrump Valley 5 — At Western, Osvaldo Escobar went 1-for-1 with a double and three RBIs to help the Warriors edge the Trojans.

Javier Ruiz was 2-for-3 with two runs for Western.

Josh Mortenson was 3-for-3 with a double for Pahrump.

Silverado 11, Valley 1 — At Valley, David Kuzma went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs and tossed a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk as the Skyhawks topped the Vikings in six innings.

Vincent Taormina was 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three runs and two RBIs, and Dylan Brand was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs, and an RBI for Silverado.

Green Valley 13, Canyon Springs 1 — At Green Valley, Jarrett Perns was 4-for-4, and Christian Hall had a bases-loaded triple in the first inning as the Gators beat the Pioneers in five innings.

Ryan Jackson went 2-for-2 for Green Valley, which scored eight runs in the first.

Walter Johnson had a double, one of three hits for Canyon Springs against winning pitcher Brett Haney.

Sierra Vista 13, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Cole Crosby went 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI as the Mountain Lions defeated the Grizzlies in six innings.

Tyler Burdett went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Sierra Vista.

Faith Lutheran 18, Cheyenne 4 — At Cheyenne, Logan Etherington finished 3-for-5 with two triples and four RBIs to power the Crusaders past the Desert Shields in six innings.

Winning pitcher Jordan Dreibelbis struck out six in five innings for Faith Lutheran.
