ROUNDUP: Spring Valley rallies past Pine View (Utah) for baseball win

Garrett Blair’s two-out RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning scored Cameron Cole with the tying run, and Enzo Bello came home on an error to give Spring Valley’s baseball team a 6-5 home win over Pine View (Utah) on Saturday.
With one out, Cole singled to left and went to second on an error. One out later, Bello walked.
Blair singled to center to score Cole, and Bello came home on an error by the center fielder to end the game.
Blair was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Cole went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Bello tripled and scored three runs.
Palo Verde 10, Faith Lutheran 3 — At Faith Lutheran, Christian Centrella was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs to help the Panthers beat the Crusaders.
Devin Chavez was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Faith Lutheran.
Rancho 5, Canyon View (Utah) 4 — At St. George, Utah, Kevin Kline pitched an eight-hitter and stranded the potential tying run at second base as the Rams nipped Canyon View in the Snow Canyon Classic.
Kline had six strikeouts.
James Cammack went 1-for-3 with a triple for Rancho, and teammate Zak Qualls was 2-for-2 with a double.
Rancho 18, Salem Hills (Utah) 12 — At St. George, Utah, Kline went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to help the Rams secure third place in the tournament.
Gabe Chavira went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Rancho. The Rams’ Michael Cruz doubled twice, and teammates Brandon Pletsch and James Cammack had two hits apiece.
Judge Memorial (Utah) 10, Las Vegas 5 — At St. George, Utah, Judge Memorial scored five runs in the top of the sixth to break a 5-5 tie in the Snow Canyon Classic
Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a double for Las Vegas. Tim Daniels and Wes Grass each added two hits for the Wildcats.
Snow Canyon (Utah) 9, Las Vegas 5 — At St. George, Utah, Snow Canyon scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to rally past the Wildcats in the Snow Canyon Classic.
Harper went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs for Las Vegas, which held leads of 4-0 and 5-2. Grass also had two hits.
SOFTBALL
Canyon View (Utah) 13, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Canyon View limited the Crusaders to three singles in six innings.
Canyon View scored 12 runs in the final four innings, including six in the sixth.
