ROUNDUP: Stout’s three-run blast caps comeback win for Shadow Ridge

Colt Stout’s three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh gave Shadow Ridge a 12-11 home win over Eldorado on Thursday.

Stout’s blast capped a five-run seventh for the Mustangs, who had watched Eldorado score seven runs in the top of the inning to take an 11-7 lead.

Stout also doubled and tripled for Shadow Ridge.

Mitchell Shields and Josh Roelofs each added two hits and an RBI for Shadow Ridge. Roelofs had eight strikeouts over six innings.

Eric Larsen was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Eldorado.

Las Vegas 6, Legacy 3 — At Las Vegas, Tanner Chauncey went 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Brig Jensen added a single and two doubles to help the Wildcats defeat the Longhorns.

Robert Melendrez had two RBIs, Jesse Acosta added a double, and James Allen supplied two hits for Las Vegas.

Zach Monticelli hit a double for Legacy.

Sierra Vista 7, Arbor View 2 — At Sierra Vista, Jake Hager doubled, homered and drove in three runs to lead the Mountain Lions past the Aggies.

Starting pitcher Nick Kingham allowed two hits in five innings to earn the win. Scotty Tomassetti had two hits for Sierra Vista.

Spring Valley 7, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Jose Rosales was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to lead the Grizzlies past the Patriots.

R.J. Randal and Tyler Kartler each added two hits for Spring Valley.

Aaron Blair allowed one earned run on four hits to get the complete-game win, striking out eight and walking two.

Coronado 11, Palo Verde 7 — At Coronado, the Cougars scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 6-6 tie and beat the Panthers.

Winning pitcher Taylor Giordano went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, and a solo home run. Miles Bice was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI for Coronado.

Dan Jaffe finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs for Palo Verde.

Silverado 9, Cimarron-Memorial 3 — At Cimarron, Mike Meyers cracked a three-run homer, and Morgan Stotts was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs as the Skyhawks cruised past the Spartans.

Trevor Johnson added a double for Silverado, which outhit Cimarron 11-4.

Tech 8, Desert Pines 4 — At Tech, Travis James had a three-run triple that keyed a five-run third inning as the Roadrunners defeated Jaguars.

Justin Vasquez pitched a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts to earn the win. Josh West had two hits and two RBIs for Tech.

Amador Rivera was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Desert Pines.

Rancho 14, Desert Oasis 4 — At Rancho, Kevin Kline was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs as the Rams routed the Diamondbacks in five innings.

Eric Holdren went 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBIs, and Dylan Krasn and Gabe Chavira each added two hits for Rancho.

Scott Koenen pitched a complete game to improve his record to 2-0.

Green Valley 12, Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Evan Van Hoosier hit two solo home runs as the Gators swamped the Vikings in five frames.

Brett Harrison and Cameron Harper also homered for Green Valley, which had 11 hits.

Gabe Douglas went 2-for-2 with three runs for the Gators.

Alec Hutt pitched four innings to earn the win, allowing three hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

Centennial 12, Chaparral 2 — At Centennial, Blane Bevilacqua smacked a grand slam, and Cody Clark followed with a solo shot in the bottom of the second to help power the Bulldogs past the Cowboys in five innings.

Bevilacqua finished 3-for-3 with three runs, and Clark was 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI.

Austin Nelson added a double for Centennial.

Mark Faranda had a double for Chaparral.

Del Sol 16, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Del Sol, Justin Chronister went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple, three runs and two RBIs as the Dragons beat the Miners in five innings.

Winning pitcher Kameron Conley went the distance and hit 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.

Del Sol’s Joey Baggs was 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs, and David Day and Dylan Greer each supplied a triple for the Dragons.

Basic 14, Canyon Springs 7 — At Basic, the Wolves scored seven runs in the first two innings en route to the victory.

Cody Clark and Matthew Dembinski each had a double for Basic, which had 12 hits.

Shaun Dungey and Kevin Rogers each hit a double for Canyon Springs.

Bishop Gorman 22, Durango 0 — At Bishop Gorman, Joey Gallo and Mikal Hunter each hit grand slams as the Gaels routed the Blazers in five innings.

The Gaels scored 15 runs in the second inning. Gallo finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and five RBIs, and Hunter was 2-for-2 with two runs and five RBIs.

Johnny Sewald and Erik Van Meetren added solo homers for Gorman.

Virgin Valley 9, Enterprise (Utah) 1 — At Virgin Valley, Austin Gazlay had a double and two RBIs, and Victor Ruvalcaba added a double to help the Bulldogs cruise past the Wolves.

Pitchers Zach Horlacher, Jose DeSantiago and Jason Wittwer combined on a one-hitter for Virgin Valley.
