ROUNDUP: Tech rallies for baseball win over Clark

Chris Sambol hit a game-tying triple in the fifth inning and then came home on Jimmy Talamantez’s double as Tech’s baseball team nipped visiting Clark 7-6 on Monday.

Edward Weist was 2-for-3 with two runs for the Roadrunners.

Miguel Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for the Chargers. Clark pitcher Manny Estrada tossed a five-hitter and struck out 12.

Horizon (Ariz.) 2, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Scottsdale, Ariz., Nick Stein’s leadoff triple capped a two-run fifth inning for the Huskies.

The runs scored on a sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly.

Johnny Field had an RBI single in the top of the first to account for Gorman’s run.

Jeff Malm went the distance for the Gaels, allowing two hits and striking out eight.

Silverado 10, Bonanza 5 — At Silverado, Drew Robinson was 2-for-4 with a double and a run to lead the Skyhawks over the Bengals.

Morgan Stotts had a solo home run for Silverado.

Heriberto Orozco and Ted Merich each went 2-for-4 for Bonanza.

Arbor View 8, White Rock (Canada) 3 — At Arbor View, five players had two hits apiece to help the Aggies down White Rock.

Marquis Towers and Sean Reilly each went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles for the Aggies.

Colton Henricksen was 2-for-3 with a triple, and Jacob Badger and Chris Manning each went 2-for-4 with a double for Arbor View.

Green Valley 7, Desert Oasis 0 — At Green Valley, Nolan Kohorst pitched a two-hit shutout as the Gators downed the Diamondbacks.

Jordan Van Hoosier was 2-for-3 with three stolen bases for Green Valley.

Sierra Vista 10, Basic 2 — At Basic, Kyle Gamble was 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run to help the Mountain Lions beat the Wolves.

Scotty Tomassetti was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Sierra Vista, and Jake Hager was 2-for-2 with a solo home run and a double.

Rancho 6, Shadow Ridge 3 — At Rancho, the Rams scored three runs in the third inning and three runs in the fourth to defeat the Mustangs.

Eric Holdren and Scott Koenen each doubled for Rancho.

Boulder City 15, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Pahrump, Ryan Washburn was 2-for-3 with four RBIs to lead the Eagles to a five-inning win.

Jack LaMarca was 2-for-3 with a double, four runs and an RBI for the Eagles, who scored eight runs in the fourth.

Adam Eudy and Ross LaMarca each added two hits for Boulder City.

Western 20, Agassi Prep 1 — At Western, David Yocum and Daniel Buzzard combined on a no-hitter as the Warriors routed the Stars.

Yocum had a no-hitter with two outs in the fifth before walking four straight. Buzzard relieved Slocum to record the final out.

Yocum was 2-for-2 with two doubles and one walk.

Courtney Woods hit a home run, and Dejone Davis had a double for Western.
