Head coach: Teral Fair, 11th season

2015-16 record: 16-7 (9-5 Sunset, third)

Returning lettermen (starters): Four (two)

Top players: G Dewayne Alexander (Sr.), G Kavon Williams (Jr.), C Chris Rose (So.)

Outlook: The Desert Shields may not have a ton of experience with only four returning lettermen, but they do have talent.

Williams (13.4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists per game), Alexander (12 ppg, 5 rpg, 4 apg, 3 steals per game) and Rose (9 ppg, 4 rpg) all return and should contribute.

“The team is small, quick and athletic,” Fair said. “Very inexperienced overall, but we should qualify for the playoffs.”
