Outlook: The winners of the last two Sunrise Region titles, the Cougars already appeared to be one of the top teams in the state.
And then the team added Lewis, a 6-foot-9-inch transfer from Lynwood, California, who scored more than 50 points in multiple games last season.
Hardy (25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds per game) and Hunt (12.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg) return, and the Cougars added Reeves, a transfer from Desert Oasis.
“This year’s Cougars could be the most talented group of players Coronado has ever put on the floor,” Kaufman said. “This team will play big non-conference games around the country in order to prepare for league play and to be in a position to return to the state tournament.”
