BOYS BASKETBALL: Adams sparks fourth-quarter rally as Rattlers nip Crusaders

Darryl Adams scored 11 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter Tuesday to help Mojave’s boys basketball team rally for a 62-59 home win over Faith Lutheran.

The Rattlers trailed 48-41 entering the fourth quarter, but made free throws down the stretch to earn the win. Mojave was 13 of 19 from the free-throw line. Faith Lutheran was just 12 of 25 from the line.

Malik Abbott added 19 points for Mojave.

Clayton Holthaus had 13 points, and John Molchon scored 12 for the Crusaders.

Arbor View 86, Durango 84 — At Arbor View, Justin Burks scored a school-record 36 points as the Aggies edged the Trailblazers in overtime.

Durango’s Darryl Gaynor scored 40 points, including two free throws with 2.6 seconds left in regulation to force the extra period.

Charles Porter had 27 points, including a three-point play to break an 83-83 tie with five seconds left in overtime for Arbor View. Porter finished with 24 points in the second half, and Burks went 11-for-13 from the free-throw line.

Gaynor was 20-for-27 from the line for Durango, which got 18 points from Vee Price.

Pahrump Valley 67, Western 64 — At Pahrump, Uriel Ramberg-Wiley hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left in the second overtime to give the Trojans the win over the Warriors.

Western was able to inbound the ball, but couldn’t get a shot off.

Jerrod Richardson scored 18 points to lead Pahrump, which got 14 points from Jesse Crain and 11 points from Rudy Uresti.

Deaven Klepek scored 29 points for Western, but fouled out near the end of regulation.

Keon Lea added 14 points, and Wyatt Rozea scored 13 for the Warriors.

Cimarron-Memorial 77, Legacy 67 — At Legacy, Tony Harrison scored 17 points to lead four double-figure scorers and help the Spartans storm back to beat the Longhorns.

Cameron McKissic supplied 13 points, and Amani Gill and Austin Garrison each scored 11 for Cimarron, which trailed 32-31 at halftime but outscored Legacy 27-15 in the third quarter.

Deshaun Hilliard scored 17 points for Legacy, which also got 16 points from Shakir Arrey and 13 points from Anthony Madden.

Boulder City 47, Chaparral 42 — At Boulder City, Marcus Walker scored 18 points as the Eagles rallied to top the Cowboys.

Jacorey Dixon had 11 points, and Nicholas Walker added nine points for the Eagles, who trailed 27-18 at the half.

Chaparral’s Tyree McNeal led all scorers with 23 points.

Bishop Gorman 72, Desert Oasis 29 — At Gorman, Chase Jeter had 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Gaels routed the Diamondbacks.

Richie Thornton and Stephen Zimmerman each added nine points for Gorman, which outscored Desert Oasis 27-7 in the second quarter and led 40-11 at the half.

Thornton also had six steals for the Gaels.

Deric Hammock led Desert Oasis with nine points.

Clark 70, Cheyenne 45 — At Clark, Diontae Jones notched 21 points to guide the Chargers by the Desert Shields.

Darius Jackson added 16 points, and Jordan Turner scored 11 for Clark.

Daveion Wright scored 11 points and Javon Peterson 10 to lead Cheyenne.

Centennial 76, Bonanza 41 — At Bonanza, Troy Brown scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Bengals.

Garrett Scheer added 16 points for Centennial, and teammate Eddie Davis had 15 points.

Bonanza, which fell behind early, got eight points from DaVonta Price.

Moapa Valley 53, Tech 44 — At Overton, Lance Hilton scored 11 of his 13 points in the third quarter, helping the Pirates rally to beat the Roadrunners.

Jeremy Waite added 11 points, and Bunker Wimer and Justin Hughes each scored 10 for Moapa Valley. The Pirates trailed 22-20 at halftime but used a 17-9 third-quarter run to take control.

Crawford Linden scored 15 points, and Alfonso Sanchez-Guzman added 13 points for Tech.

Desert Pines 77, Virgin Valley 36 — At Mesquite, Re’meake Keith scored 16 points to help the Jaguars beat the Bulldogs.

Coby Myles and Nate Grimes added 10 points apiece for Desert Pines, which jumped to a 43-20 halftime lead.

Dee Bowler led Virgin Valley with 13 points, and Garrett Leavitt scored 12 for the Bulldogs.

Mountain View 42, Lake Mead 34 — At Lake Mead, Connor LeBoeuf scored 15 points to help the Saints defeat the Eagles.

Tevin Gray added nine points for Mountain View, which pulled away with a 13-7 third-quarter spurt.

Dylan Graham led Lake Mead with 18 points.

Spring Mountain 51, Beatty 36 — At Beatty, Devonte Richey and Nick Manning each supplied 10 points to lead the Golden Eagles to victory over the Hornets.

Christian Harris added eight points for Spring Mountain, which jumped out to a 35-10 halftime lead.

Jacob Zamora led Beatty with 15 points.

Adelson School 52, Indian Springs 18 — At Adelson School, Sean Perry scored 12 points and Jake Buchman 10 as the Lions dominated the Thunderbirds.

Devon Sickler scored seven points for Indian Springs, which trailed 39-9 at the half.
