BOYS BASKETBALL: Arias, Gaynor help Trailblazers stun Arbor View

Alex Arias had 24 points and 13 rebounds on Friday as Durango’s boys basketball team surprised visiting Arbor View, 71-69.

Darryl Gaynor had 19 points, eight assists and six rebounds, and Victor Ross added 15 points for the Trailblazers, who handed the Aggies their first Northwest League loss of the season.

Terrell Butler had 37 points for Arbor View, which missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer. Justin Burks added 19 points, and Charles Porter scored 10 for the Aggies.

Moapa Valley 66, Tech 61 — Andrew Huerta scored 20 points, and the Pirates overcame a four-point deficit in the final 30 seconds of regulation to top the Roadrunners in overtime.

Bunker Wimer had 15 points, Lance Hilton added 13 points, and Jeremy Waite scored 10 for Moapa Valley, which scored the first six points of overtime.

Tyler Gardenhire had 15 points, and DeShawn Williams added 13 points for Tech, which also got 10 points from Juan DeSantiago.

Cimarron-Memorial 69, Legacy 62 — At Cimarron, Tony Harrison had 30 points, 10 rebounds and six steals as the Spartans downed the Longhorns.

Deshaun Hilliard had 18 points, and Jacob Rainey added 13 points for Legacy, which got 12 points from Christian Solis.

Chaparral 53, Boulder City 49 — At Chaparral, Tyree McNeal had 17 points and 10 rebounds to help the Cowboys hold off the Eagles.

McNeal and Richard Nelson each went 2-for-2 from the free-throw line late in the fourth quarter to ice the game for the Cowboys.

Maharie Trotter had 14 rebounds for Chaparral.

Sam Woodbury had 12 points, and Tyler Newby scored 11 for Boulder City, which got 10 points from Marcus Walker.

Western 45, Pahrump Valley 41 — At Western, Kwan Carter had 17 points, and the Warriors took a 22-11 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Trojans.

Deaven Klepek added 10 points for Western.

Jerrod Richardson led Pahrump with 11 points.

Bishop Gorman 94, Desert Oasis 75 — At Desert Oasis, Chase Jeter had 18 points, and Stephen Zimmerman scored 17 as the Gaels downed the Diamondbacks.

Nick Blair added 13 points for Gorman, which led 51-28 at the half.

Kodi Leslie had 20 points, and Deric Hammock scored 16 for Desert Oasis, which got 12 points from Jay Esguerra.

Centennial 81, Bonanza 63 — At Centennial, Eddie Davis had 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs by the Bengals.

Khalil Thompson had 16 points, and Troy Brown and Jake Hutchings each scored 11 for Centennial.

Jamal Logan had 19 points, and DeAndre Hicks scored 14 for Bonanza, which got 10 points from Davian Jordan.

Clark 65, Cheyenne 40 — At Cheyenne, Ty’Rek Wells scored 21 points to help the Chargers cruise past the Desert Shields.

Diontae Jones added 14 points for Clark, which rallied from an early deficit to take control in the second half.

Jarrell Bell led Cheyenne with nine points.

Mountain View 44, Laughlin 43 — At Mountain View, Connor LeBoeuf’s stick-back basket with 19 seconds left lifted the Saints by the Cougars.

Jacob Duldulao had 11 points, all in the first half, for the Saints, who got nine points apiece from Tevin Gray and Matthew Larson.

Brett Smith had 15 points, and Quinton Love added 13 points for Laughlin, which had a free-throw line jumper rim out as time expired.

The Meadows 76, Lincoln County 55 — At The Meadows, Max Hisatake had 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Mustangs topped the Lynx.

Brian Fridman had 18 points, and Eric Hirsberg scored 14 for The Meadows, which also got 11 points from Ethan Fridman.

McClain O’Connor led Lincoln County with 20 points, and teammate Derek Shumway scored 18.

Adelson School 67, Tonopah 45 — At Adelson, Jake Buchman had 20 points and 12 rebounds to help the Lions beat the Muckers.

Rom Izkovich scored 24 points for Adelson.

Tyler Gallegos led Tonopah with 19 points.
