BOYS BASKETBALL: Arnold’s buzzer-beater gives Silverado win over Green Valley

Kris Coe drove to the basket and dished to Matthew Arnold for the winning basket at the buzzer as Silverado's boys basketball team knocked off visiting Green Valley 59-57 on Thursday.
Arnold finished with 19 points for the Skyhawks, who outscored the Gators 19-9 in the fourth quarter. Silverado's Tyric Johnson led all scorers with 22 points.
Xavier Jarvis scored 20 points to lead Green Valley.
Canyon Lewis added 13 points, and Ryan Trejo scored 12 points for the Gators.
Durango 66, Las Vegas 63 — Michael Diggins scored 21 points as the Trailblazers held off the Wildcats.
Demetrius Valdez added 18 points and was 4-for-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch for Durango. Chase Ruiz added 13 points for the Trailblazers.
Deandre Northey scored 23 points to lead Las Vegas. Marquise Raybon added 14 points, and Donovan Joyner scored 10 for the Wildcats.
Del Sol 61, Boulder City 51 — At Del Sol, Jonathan Spearman had 17 points and 16 rebounds to power the Dragons past the Eagles.
Myles Dunn and Malique Dunn each added 12 points for Del Sol, which used a 16-7 third-quarter run to pull away.
Carson Balistere led Boulder City with 15 points, and Zach Murphy scored 11 for the Eagles.
Desert Oasis 73, Eldorado 60 — At Desert Oasis, Jacob Heese scored 16 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Sundevils.
Drevin Cannon had 15 points, and Daron Fuglesten added 11 points for Desert Oasis, which blew the game open with a 25-12 second-quarter run.
Carmonte Jones and Dyllan Kounovsky each scored 14 points for Eldorado.
Arbor View 72, Page (Ariz.) 57 — At Page, Ariz., Jesse Vogel scored 27 points as the Aggies beat the Sand Devils in the NGS Invitational.
Cameron Trailer and Jarrod Burks each added 13 points for Arbor View.
Justin Billy led Page with 22 points, and teammate Quiver Bluesky scored 11.
Chaparral 57, Sunrise Mountain 49 — At Chaparral, Marc Silas scored 18 points, and the Cowboys placed four players in double figures in the win over the Miners.
Ben Kirschbaum added 11 points for Chaparral, which led 17-8 after one quarter. Richard Nelson and Jonathan Tendale each added 10 points for the Cowboys.
Tyri White paced Sunrise Mountain with 19 points, and Theodore Williams scored 11 for the Miners.
Cheyenne 60, Western 44 — At Western, Dewayne Alexander had 14 points to lead the Desert Shields over the Warriors.
Kavon Williams added 11 points for Cheyenne, which led 34-17 at the half.
Kwan Carter paced Western with 19 points.
Desert Pines 73, Moapa Valley 27 — At Overton, Capri Uzan scored 20 points as the Jaguars routed the Pirates.
Trevon Abdullah scored 14 points, Greg Floyd scored 13, and Curtis Henderson added 11 points for Desert Pines, which led 20-6 after one quarter.
Dalyn Leavitt and Nate Cox each scored six points for Moapa Valley.
Virgin Valley 82, Tech 58 — At Mesquite, five players scored in double figures as the Bulldogs routed the Roadrunners.
Zach Barnum scored 15 points to lead Virgin Valley, which jumped out to an 18-9 first-quarter lead and never looked back.
Marcus Sanders scored 14 points, Andrew Memmott had 13 points, and Hogan Fowles and Nick Clark each scored 12 for the Bulldogs.
Collin Faught, Dylan Sanglay and Gary Johnson each had 10 points for Tech.
Clark 61, Spring Valley 19 — At Spring Valley, Tanevin Goldner scored 21 points as the Chargers routed the Grizzlies.
Antwon Jackson had 14 points, James Bridges added 12 points, and Darius Jackson scored 11 for Clark, which outscored Spring Valley 30-6 in the second half.
Ryan Frazier led the Grizzlies with five points.
Timpview (Utah) 75, Foothill 38 — At Orem, Utah, Gavin Baxter scored 25 points as the Thunderbirds routed the Falcons in the Free Tax USA Shootout.
Colson Santiago added 16 points, and Adam Santiago scored 13 for Timpview, which led 19-4 after one quarter.
Jonny Rolle paced Foothill with 11 points.
Adelson School 72, Quest Academy 51 — At Adelson, Brandon Pappas had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lions past the Knights.
Jake Buchman also scored 18 points for Adelson, which took control of the game with a 32-11 first-quarter run.
Jacob Elharrar added 14 points for the Lions.
Keilan Fleming and Christoper Warren each scored 16 points for Quest.
Word of Life 65, Spring Mountain 50 — At Durango Hills YMCA, Trent McCall had 19 points as the Eagles topped the Golden Eagles.
Elijah Hoye and Malik Moore scored 11 apiece for Word of Life.
Guy Whitley led Spring Mountain with 20 points.
