BOYS BASKETBALL: Bridges, Clark roll past Western

James Bridges scored 16 points Monday to help Clark's boys basketball team to a 59-30 win over visiting Western.

Antwon Jackson scored 12 points for the Chargers, who used a 19-7 run in the second quarter to take a 32-15 halftime lead.

Nakia Harris-Neal scored nine points for Western.

Virgin Valley 69, Moapa Valley 30 — At Mesquite, Zach Barnum had 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Bulldogs routed the Pirates.

Andrew Memmott had 15 points, and Hogan Fowles scored 12 for Virgin Valley, which used a 22-1 second-quarter run to build a 33-5 halftime lead. Jarrett Tietjen had eight assists for the Bulldogs.

Koby Frei paced Moapa Valley with nine points.

Findlay Prep 85, Sierra Vista 41 — At Henderson International, the Pilots routed the Mountain Lions.

Mojave at Canyon Springs — The game was called off after the girls varsity game was stopped because of a fight between the teams. No reschedule date was announced.

The top four Class 5A boys basketball teams — Coronado, Liberty, Bishop Gorman and Arbor View — will play for the state title Thursday and Friday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
