BOYS BASKETBALL: Centennial pulls away in fourth to down visiting Cimarron

Troy Brown scored 24 points on Thursday, and Centennial’s boys basketball team pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat visiting Cimarron-Memorial, 62-56.
Alijah Henderson added 11 points, and Isaiah Banks scored 10 for Centennial, which led only 40-39 entering the fourth quarter.
Brian Washington led Cimarron with 14 points. Kamakana Winquist had 13 points, and Demarco Alexander scored 11 for the Spartans.
Chaparral 74, Eldorado 63 — At Chaparral, Jonathan Tendale had 16 points, and Ben Kirschbaum added 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Cowboys downed the Sundevils.
Marcus Hilliard had 14 points, and Ronnie Hicks notched nine points and seven assists for Chaparral, which led only 48-44 after three quarters.
Jordan Carter hit six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 27 points for Eldorado. Kemo Bell added 12 points, and Dexter Davis scored 10 for the Sundevils.
Canyon Springs 62, Virgin Valley 51 — At Canyon Springs, Joseph Haulcy scored 14 points to lead the Pioneers past the Bulldogs.
Christopher Hawkins added nine points for the Pioneers, who outscored the Bulldogs 24-9 in the first quarter.
Eleven players scored for Canyon Springs.
Hogan Fowles led Virgin Valley with 13 points, and teammate Andrew Memmot scored 11.
Western 74, Tech 45 — At Western, Kwan Carter led three double-figure scorers with 21 points to lift the Warriors by the Roadrunners.
Jesus Rojo added 17 points, and Anthony Dodson scored 15 for Western, which led 48-24 at halftime.
Miguel Pena had 13 points, and Tyler Muwwakkil scored 11 for Tech.
Arbor View 64, Hurricane (Utah) 56 — At Page, Arizona, Comillion Smith hit four second-half 3-pointers and finished with 13 points to lead the Aggies over the Tigers in the NGS Holiday Classic.
Jarrod Burks added nine points, and Tyre Williams scored eight for Arbor View, which trailed 34-32 at the half.
Adelson School 60, Spring Mountain 26 — At Adelson School, Jake Buchman scored 13 points to go over the 1,000-point mark in his high school career, as the Lions routed the Eagles.
Brandon Pappas added 11 points, and Miles Hagan scored 10 for Adelson School, which used a 22-3 first quarter to take control.
Rowen Robinson scored 11 points to lead Spring Mountain.
Innovations International 55, Word of Life 49 — At Innovations, Justin Evans scored 17 points to lead the Ambassadors past the Eagles.
Derec Anderson scored 13 points, while Jordan Allison added 12 points for the Ambassadors, who outscored the Eagles 14-6 in the second quarter to take control of the game.
Ivan Candolesas led Word of Life with 29 points.
GV Christian 42, David O. McKay 33 — At David O. McKay, Daemein Hargrove scored 15 points to lead the Eagles past the Warriors.
Gregory Fields added 10 points for the Eagles, who outscored the Warriors 28-16 in the second half.
Coral Academy 88, Trinity 24 — At Trinity, Isaac Spears had 15 points, five assists and three steals as the Falcons rolled.
Ryan Djino added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Isaiah Spears had 14 points and three steals for Coral Academy.
Nate Anderson added 10 points for the Falcons.
