BOYS BASKETBALL: DesJardins’ free throws give Coronado win over Green Valley

Jake DesJardins hit two free throws in the final 10 seconds and finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds Tuesday as Coronado's boys basketball team rallied to beat visiting Green Valley, 60-59.

Bryce Savoy's steal in the final six seconds preserved the win for the Cougars, who trailed 45-36 entering the fourth quarter but battled back behind four 3-pointers from Trey Hurlburt in the quarter.

Hurlburt finished with 17 points, and Kennedy Koehler added 15 points and 14 rebounds for Coronado. Travis Boman had 10 rebounds for the Cougars.

Xavier Jarvis led the Gators with 25 points, and teammate Canyon Lewis scored 15.

Eldorado 60, Basic 50 — At Basic, Carl Crayon had 14 points and the Sundevils topped the Wolves in overtime.

Carmonte Jones added 13 points, including a tying shot with two seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Shane Barnes also scored 13 for the Sundevils, who outscored Basic 15-5 in the extra period.

Kerry Keyes led Basic with 19 points, and teammate Matthew Esplin scored 10.

Rancho 49, Foothil 37 — At Foothill, Lamont Traylor led all scorers with 13 points, and the Rams held off the Falcons.

Michael Hernandez added 11 points for Rancho, which jumped out to a 24-16 halftime lead.

Mikey Shaw had nine points to lead Foothill.

Liberty 73, Las Vegas 56 — At Liberty, David Bravo and Dyllan Robinson each had 19 points to spark the Patriots' win over the Wildcats.

Cameron Burist added 16 points for Liberty, which outscored Las Vegas 46-33 in the second half.

Ronald Daniels led Las Vegas with 19 points, and Donovan Joyner scored 14 for the Wildcats.

Silverado 72, Valley 54 — At Silverado, Tyric Johnson had 16 points, and teammate Matthew Arnold scored 15 to guide the Skyhawks to victory over the Vikings.

Kris Coe added eight points for Silverado, which used a 20-4 first-quarter run to pull away.

Roell King led Valley with 15 points.

Desert Oasis 72, Cimarron-Memorial 58 — At Cimarron, Aamondae Coleman and Drevin Cannon each scored 15 points to lead the Diamondbacks to victory over the Spartans.

Daron Fuglesten added 10 points for Desert Oasis, which outscored Cimarron 39-23 over the middle quarters to take control.

Ja'Don Brown scored 11 points, and Elijah Coleman and Marcus Phillips each scored 10 to pace the Spartans.

Centennial 67, Bonanza 39 — At Bonanza, Troy Brown scored 19 points to help the Bulldogs top the Bengals.

Isaiah Banks added 10 points for Centennial, which led 34-15 at halftime.

Jamal Logan and Davian Jordan each had eight points for Bonanza.

Aussie Travelers (Australia) 49, Boulder City 44 — At Boulder City, the Travelers outscored Boulder City 32-19 in the first half and held on to down the Eagles.

Justus Greene led Boulder City with 12 points.

Mountain View 57, Needles 36 — At Mountain View, Tevin Gray poured in 26 points as the Saints defeated the Mustangs.

Christian Bennett added 14 points for Mountain View.

Bernard Williams grabbed 13 rebounds and Tyrell Brooks had nine boards for the Saints.

Trenton Poe-Evans led Needles with 12 points.

Agassi Prep 81, Laughlin 38 — At Agassi Prep, Akeemis Williams scored 27 points on nine 3-pointers as the Stars routed the Cougars.

Aiden Olivas had 13 points, and Jared Holmes scored 11 for Agassi Prep, which got 10 points from Najeeb Muhammad.

Corey Anderson paced Laughlin with 15 points.

The Meadows 71, Calvary Chapel 41 — At Calvary Chapel, Jake Epstein had 25 points, and Max Hisatake scored 23 to lead the Mustangs by the Lions.

The Meadows started and ended the game on 18-4 runs.

Quentin Hank had 16 points, and teammate Killian Diers scored 12 for Calvary Chapel.

Beatty 45, Indian Springs 29 — At Indian Springs, Jacob Oseguera scored 21 points to power the Hornets by the Thunderbirds.

Nikolas Zamora added six points for Beatty, which outscored Indian Springs 27-17 in the second half.

Nino Alvarez and Jay Barth each had 10 points to pace the Thunderbirds.

Adelson School 59, Sandy Valley 20 — At Sandy Valley, Miles Hagen and Jake Buchman each had 18 points as the Lions rolled past the Sidewinders.

Wyatt Robinson had nine points to lead Sandy Valley, which trailed 18-5 after one quarter.
