BOYS BASKETBALL: Eldorado hangs on to beat Rancho

Shane Barnes had 15 points Friday night to lead Eldorado's boys basketball team to a 55-51 home win over Rancho.

Carmonte Jones added 12 points for the Sundevils, who led by 20 points in the third quarter before holding off a Rancho rally. Eldorado (7-6) improved to 3-1 in the Southeast League, one game behind leader Coronado. Rancho (13-7) dropped to 2-2 in league.

Carl Crayon and Dyllan Kounovsky each had 10 points for Eldorado.

Chrys Jackson led Rancho with 21 points. Stepfon Cotton-Taylor added 10 points for the Rams, who outscored the Sundevils 25-11 in the fourth quarter and got as close as three points.

Coronado 75, Foothill 70 — At Coronado, Jake DesJardins scored 16 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to rally the Cougars by the Falcons.

DesJardins also had 10 rebounds for Coronado, which trailed 35-28 at halftime but outscored Foothill 23-15 in the third quarter.

Kennedy Koehler added 17 points and 17 rebounds, and Trey Hurlburt had 10 points and five assists for the Cougars.

Devon Erb led Foothill with 22 points. Jace Roquemore added 10 points for the Falcons.

Silverado 60, Liberty 56 — At Liberty, Errol Newman scored a game-high 22 points as the Skyhawks edged the Patriots.

Tyric Johnson added 12 points for Silverado, which led 33-18 at halftime.

Kyle Thaxton had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead Liberty. Cameron Burist added 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Patriots.

Bonanza 89, Cimarron-Memorial 84 — At Cimarron, Jamal Logan led four Bengals in double figures with 21 points as they held off the Spartans.

Garnet Walters added 17 points, and Deon Branch and Davian Jordan each scored 16 for Bonanza, which led 68-53 after three quarters.

Jeremiah Broussard scored 29 points for Cimarron. Ja'Don Brown added 18 points, and Keiron Hatchett and Marcus Phillips each scored 11 for the Spartans.

Green Valley 74, Basic 57 — At Basic, Xavier Jarvis scored 30 points as the Gators beat the Wolves.

Canyon Lewis added 22 points for Green Valley, which led 49-25 at the half.

Centennial 81, Arbor View 52 — At Arbor View, Troy Brown scored 20 points as the Bulldogs downed the Aggies.

Jake Hutchings added 15 points for Centennial, which got 13 points for Roy Sparks and 12 points from Isaiah Banks.

Jarrod Burks paced Arbor View with 17 points. Jesse Vogel added 12 points for the Aggies, and teammate Favor Chukwukelu scored 10.

Faith Lutheran 69, Spring Valley 30 — At Faith Lutheran, Luke Bergen had 16 points as the Crusaders rolled over the Grizzlies.

Zach Friel added 13 points and eight rebounds for Faith Lutheran, and Jaylen Fox had eight assists for the Crusaders.

Joseph Johnson led Spring Valley with 13 points.

Canyon Springs 66, Valley 36 — At Canyon Springs, Darion Jackson scored 12 points as the Pioneers cruised past the Vikings.

Joseph Haulcy added 10 points for Canyon Springs, which led 15-3 after one quarter.

Zach Nichols led Valley with 18 points.

Agassi Prep 68, Calvary Chapel 60 — At Calvary Chapel, Akeemis Williams hit seven 3-pointers in the second quarter and finished with 26 points to lead the Stars by the Lions.

Stephan LauShaul added 14 points, and Daniel Plummer scored 10 for Agassi Prep, which outscored the Lions 30-13 in the second quarter.

Quentin Hank led Calvary Chapel with 19 points. Cameron Varela added 18 points, and D.J. Golden scored 10 for the Lions.

The Meadows 75, Needles 55 — At The Meadows, Asheesh Chopra hit eight 3-pointers and scored 32 points to lead The Meadows over Needles.

Jake Epstein added 22 points for The Meadows, and teammate Max Hisatake scored 12.

Chopra had six first-half 3-pointers as The Meadows took a 50-20 halftime lead. The Meadows made 14 3-pointers.

Trenton Poe-Evans led Needles with 10 points.

Lincoln County 39, Lake Mead 36 — At Lake Mead, Kobe Walker had 13 points to lead the Lynx over the Eagles.

Lake Mead had a chance to tie, but Mitch Dolinar's 3-pointer fell short at the buzzer.

Samuel Anderson added 11 points for the Eagles, who led 20-17 after three quarters.

Shay Rutledge had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Lake Mead.

Mountain View 64, White Pine 39 — At Mountain View, Terrence Brooks had 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to lead the Saints past the Bobcats.

Tyrell Brooks added 15 points, and Micah Wheeler scored 12 for Mountain View, which led 41-20 at the half.

Jonathan Gust paced White Pine with 12 points.

Word of Life 62, Round Mountain 48 — At Word of Life, Trent McCall scored 22 points to lead the Eagles over the Knights.

Elijah Hoye added 18 points for Word of Life, which held Round Mountain scoreless in the third quarter.

Corbin Jensen led Round Mountain with 13 points, and teammate Chris Winters scored 10.

Beaver Dam 54, Sandy Valley 37 — At Sandy Valley, Luiz Gonzalez had 23 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Sidewinders.

Nick Miromontes added 10 points for Beaver Dam.

Logan Shelton led Sandy Valley with 13 points, and teammate Wyatt Robinson scored 12.

Mohave Accelerated (Ariz.) 53, Laughlin 35 — At Laughlin, the Patriots topped the Cougars.
