BOYS BASKETBALL: Hank guides Lions past White Pine

Quentin Hank had 19 points, eight rebounds, six assists and six steals Saturday to help Calvary Chapel's boys basketball team to a 71-49 win over White Pine in Ely.

D.J. Golden had 15 points, and Cameron Varela scored 11 for the Lions, who got 10 points from Killian Diers and pulled away with a 23-5 third-quarter run.

Samuel Stewart led the Bobcats with 16 points.

Palm Springs (Calif.) 60, Legacy 46 — At Palm Springs, Calif., Deondre Hawkins scored 21 points to lead the Indians by the Longhorns.

John Rich added 17 points for Palm Springs, which led 32-26 at the half and extended the margin to 48-33 after three quarters.

Edward Vaughns led Legacy with 20 points.

Provo (Utah) 51, Foothill 45 — At Lahaina, Hawaii, Braxton Bailey scored 26 points to lead the Bulldogs by the Falcons in the Lahainaluna Invitational.

T.J. Johnson had 10 points, and Jonny Rolle added nine points for Foothill, which led 23-21 at the half.

Barrow (Alaska) 78, Coronado 77 — At Wasilla, Alaska, the Whalers rallied from a 49-29 halftime deficit to nip the Cougars in the championship game of the Doc Larson Roundball Classic.

The Meadows 72, Lincoln County 32 — At Panaca, Jake Epstein had 25 points to lead the Mustangs by the Lynx.

Max Hisatake added 20 points, and Asheesh Chopra scored 12 for The Meadows, which led 41-19 at the half.

Kobe Walker and Benson Wadsworth each had seven points for Lincoln County.

Pahranagat Valley 38, Lake Mead 34 — At Alamo, Cody Williams scored 11 points as the Panthers edged the Eagles.

Pahranagat Valley led 23-21 after three quarters and made just one field goal in the fourth quarter but hit 13 of 18 free throws in the quarter to preserve the win.

Shay Rutledge led Lake Mead with 11 points.
