BOYS BASKETBALL: Hicks’ clutch fourth quarter helps Bengals top the Diamondbacks

DeAndre Hicks went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the final minute and scored eight of his 17 points in the fourth quarter Wednesday to help Bonanza’s boys basketball team to a 67-64 win over visiting Desert Oasis.
Jamal Logan scored 19 points for the Bengals, who also got 12 points and 10 rebounds from Ryan Glasper.
Kodi Leslie had 19 points for the Diamondbacks, and teammates Deric Hammock and Aamondae Coleman each supplied 14 points.
Centennial 66, Legacy 57 — At Legacy, Garrett Scheer scored 17 points to help the Bulldogs top the Longhorns.
Troy Brown added 15 points for Centennial.
DeShaun Hilliard had 24 points for Legacy, and teammate Jacob Rainey recorded 12 points.
Clark 65, Mojave 55 — At Clark, Carter Olsen and Diontae Jones each scored 14 points to lead the Chargers over the Rattlers.
Colby Jackson added 13 points for Clark, which outscored Mojave 18-9 in the second quarter to take control.
Darryl Adams had 16 points to lead the Rattlers. Kemario Williams added 13 points, and Malik Abbott scored 11 for Mojave.
Bishop Gorman 84, Cimarron-Memorial 64 — At Gorman, Stephen Zimmerman had 34 points and 10 rebounds as the Gaels topped the Spartans.
Chase Jeter added 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Nick Blair scored 11 for Gorman, which got eight assists from Noah Robotham.
Austin Garrison led Cimarron with 20 points. Tony Harrison scored 14, and LaRon Young added 10 points for the Spartans.
Moapa Valley 49, Chaparral 44 — At Chaparral, Justin Hughes poured in 20 points to propel the Pirates to a win over the Cowboys.
Lance Hilton chipped in eight points for Moapa Valley, which used a 19-11 third quarter spurt to pull away.
Marc Silas led Chaparral with nine points.
Desert Pines 60, Sunrise Mountain 41 — At Desert Pines, Coby Myles scored 12 points to help the Jaguars beat the Miners.
Dominic Deloney supplied 10 points for Desert Pines.
Trellis Quinn had nine points for Sunrise Mountain.
Boulder City 62, Tech 41 — At Tech, Sam Woodbury and Nicholas Walker each scored 12 points to lift the Eagles over the Roadrunners.
Tyler Newby added 10 points, and Zach Murphy had nine points for Boulder City, which jumped out to a 31-18 halftime lead.
Alfonso Sanchez-Guzman led Tech with 13 points.
Faith Lutheran 63, Western 41 — At Faith Lutheran, Mitch Fulfer and Clayton Holthaus scored 12 points apiece to help the Crusaders down the Warriors.
Blake Bell and John Molchon each had 10 points for Faith Lutheran.
Deaven Klepek had 18 points, and Keon Lea scored 11 for Western.
Cheyenne 83, Pahrump Valley 39 — At Pahrump, Joseph Rose had 18 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots as the Desert Shields routed the Trojans.
Javon Peterson had 12 points, five rebounds and five assists, and Rayvon Grier added 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for Cheyenne. Daveion Wright added 10 points for the Desert Shields.
Jerrod Richardson led Pahrump with 16 points.
