BOYS BASKETBALL: Jahleel Stevens’ shot, Dayshawn Robinson’s block lift Rancho over Eldorado

Dayshawn Robinson scored 19 points, and teammate Jahleel Stevens knocked down the go-ahead 3-pointer from the top of the key with 30 seconds remaining to lift Rancho’s boys basketball team to a 57-56 home win over Eldorado on Wednesday.

Stevens finished with 14 points, and Robinson provided a blocked shot on Eldorado’s Jonathan Thomas at the final buzzer.

Chrys Jackson had 16 points for Rancho, which outscored the Sundevils 35-23 over the middle quarters.

Thomas led Eldorado with 14 points and made two free throws to give the Sundevils a 56-54 lead with 54 seconds remaining.

Markaule Pace added 11 points for Eldorado.

Eldorado will play Valley in a play-in game to determine the final playoff spot in the Northeast League.

Canyon Springs 82, Las Vegas 58 — At Las Vegas, Kevin Legardy led four players in double figures with a game-high 25 points as the Pioneers topped the Wildcats.

Christopher Hawkins had 17 points, Jovon Coleman scored 16, and Elbert Bibbs supplied 10 points for Canyon Springs, which sprinted to a 44-28 halftime lead.

Donovan Joyner had 14 points, and Deondre Northey scored 12 for Las Vegas, which also got 11 points from Michael Berkabile.

Findlay Prep 76, Foothill 36 — At Foothill, P.J. Washington scored 18 points to power the Pilots past the Falcons.

Lamine Diane had 15 points, and teammate Reggie Chaney added 14 points for Findlay Prep, which raced out to a 45-17 halftime lead.

Jace Roquemore scored eight points to pace Foothill.

Desert Oasis 77, Spring Valley 46 — At Desert Oasis, Jacob Heese poured in 32 points as the Diamondbacks routed the Grizzlies.

Manny Mitchell had 15 points, and teammate Maitland Williams added 11 points for Desert Oasis, which made seven 3-pointers and 14 of 18 free throws.

Keelan Wickersham scored 13 points, and Joseph Johnson had 12 to pace Spring Valley.

Clark 59, Bonanza 29 — At Clark, Deshawn Wilson’s 10 points led a balanced attack for the Chargers as they rolled by the Bengals.

Brandon Noone scored 10 to lead Bonanza.

Del Sol 52, Virgin Valley 49 — At Del Sol, Jonathan Spearman tallied 16 points, and Byron Rowson scored 12 to help the Dragons hold off the Bulldogs.

Keith Seldon added 10 points for Del Sol, which led 38-21 after three quarters and withstood a furious fourth-quarter rally by Virgin Valley.

Jayden Perkins and Devin Cox scored 14 points each, and Hogan Fowles supplied 10 points for Virgin Valley.

Chaparral 63, Boulder City 60 — At Boulder City, Jonathan Tendale scored 21 points, and Ronnie Hicks added 19 points as the Cowboys slipped past the Eagles.

Marcus Hilliard supplied 10 points for Chaparral, which led 50-42 going into the fourth quarter.

Karson Bailey scored a game-high 26 points for Boulder City, and teammate Carson Balistere chipped in with 12 points.

Tech 57, Moapa Valley 42 — At Tech, Jurelle Orbino led all scorers with 16 points to help the Roadrunners down the Pirates.

Justin Mixson and Tyler Muwwakkil each scored 10 for Tech.

Chase Kruse led the Pirates with 12 points, and Nathanial Thompson added 10 points.

Spring Mountain 60, GV Christian 29 — At Indian Springs, Jaylon McKenzie scored 12 points to lead 11 scorers as Spring Mountain defeated GV Christian.

Kamari Kelly had 10 points, and teammates Randell Mosely and Eric Brooks each added eight points for Spring Mountain.

Daemein Hargrove led GV Christian with seven points.
