BOYS BASKETBALL: Jeffries leads Legacy to overtime win over Shadow Ridge

Timothy Jeffries scored 27 points, including eight points in overtime, to lift Legacy's boys basketball team to a 63-61 road win over Shadow Ridge on Tuesday.

Jeffries knocked down a jumper with 11 seconds to play in the extra period for the game's final margin. Kameron Delgadillo added 19 points for Legacy.

Shadow Ridge's Jerell Springer scored 28 points and made a basket with eight seconds left in regulation to tie it at 53 and force overtime.

James Fuller added 15 points for the Mustangs.

Faith Lutheran 69, Western 64 — At Faith Lutheran, Zach Friel scored 21 points and was 11-for-12 from the free throw line as the Crusaders edged the Warriors.

Blake Bell had 12 points, and teammate Gary Tharaldson scored 11 for Faith Lutheran, which went 9-for-10 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Luke Bergen made three 3-pointers for the Crusaders.

Kwan Carter scored 22 points and Nakia Harris-Neal 21 to lead Western.

Bishop Gorman 100, Palo Verde 74 — At Palo Verde, Charles O'Bannon Jr. scored 33 points and hit seven 3-pointers as the Gaels beat the Panthers.

O'Bannon hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 in the third quarter, as Gorman outscored the Panthers 36-22 to take a 76-51 lead.

Christian Popoola added 15 points, Jamal Bey scored 13 and Byron Frohnen 10 for the Gaels.

Ryan Bogelei led Palo Verde with 18 points. Cole Hendershot and Taylor Miller added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Panthers.

Sierra Vista 66, Spring Valley 50 — At Spring Valley, Maui SeraJosef scored 16 points to guide the Mountain Lions to victory over the Grizzlies.

Maka Ellis had 13 points, and teammates Chris McCoy and Maitland Williams each added 11 points for Sierra Vista, which outscored Spring Valley 41-29 in the second half.

Sal Everett scored 12 points to lead the Grizzlies.

Desert Pines 63, Del Sol 50 — At Desert Pines, Trevon Abdullah had 17 points and seven rebounds to help the Jaguars defeat the Dragons.

Greg Floyd supplied 15 points and seven rebounds, and teammate Capri Uzan added 14 points and seven assists for Desert Pines, which led 31-17 at halftime.

Myles Dunn paced Del Sol with 15 points.

Boulder City 43, Moapa Valley 38 — At Overton, Justus Greene scored eight of his 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles rallied by the Pirates.

Peyton Koopman added nine points for Boulder City, which trailed 29-26 entering the fourth quarter.

Jay Mortensen and Koby Frei each had nine points for Moapa Valley.

Clark 63, Mojave 39 — At Clark, Darius Jackson led a balanced attack with 15 points as the Chargers topped the Rattlers.

Keyshaun Webb scored 14 points, and James Bridges added 13 points for Clark, which led 32-21 at halftime.

Daryl Adams had 12 points to pace Mojave, and Chrishawn Thomas scored 11 for the Rattlers.

Chaparral 72, Tech 44 — At Tech, Marc Silas scored 17 points as the Cowboys routed the Roadrunners.

Samuel Porras had 16 points, and Jonathan Tendale added 11 points for Chaparral, which led 37-15 at the half.

Jurelle Orbino scored 11 points to lead Tech.

Virgin Valley 68, Sunrise Mountain 34 — At Virgin Valley, Jarrett Tietjen scored 20 points, and Zach Barnum had 13 points and five assists to lead the Bulldogs to a rout of the Miners.

Jayden Perkins scored 10 points, and Andrew Memmott supplied seven points and 10 rebounds for Virgin Valley, which took a 38-13 halftime lead.

Steven Adeyemi led Sunrise Mountain with 11 points.

Cheyenne 74, Pahrump Valley 33 — At Pahrump, Dewayne Alexander scored 16 points, and the Desert Shields led 29-1 after one quarter en route to the easy win.

William Moore and Christopher Rose each added 12 points for Cheyenne.

Danny Foss scored 15 points for the Trojans.

Mountain View 44, Needles 41 — At Mountain View, Tevin Gray scored 17 points as the Saints held off the Mustangs.

Tyrell Brooks added 13 points for Mountain View, which trailed 21-19 at halftime and outscored Needles 17-8 in the third quarter.

Frankie Garcia scored nine points for Needles.

Calvary Chapel 74, Laughlin 50 — At Calvary Chapel, Alec Neider led a balanced attack with 12 points to help the Lions defeat the Cougars.

Quentin Hank, Killian Diers and Cameron Varela each added 11 points for Calvary Chapel, which led 34-21 at the half.

Tyler Furr scored 20 points for Laughlin, and teammate Corey Anderson added 15 points.

The Meadows 81, Adelson School 43 — At The Meadows, Max Hisatake scored 22 points as the Mustangs defeated the Lions.

Asheesh Chopra added 19 points, and Jake Epstein scored 18 for The Meadows, which bolted to a 39-25 halftime lead.

Jake Buchman led Adelson School with 10 points.

Spring Mountain 55, Sandy Valley 24 — At Indian Springs, Elijah Maddickes had 15 points to lead the Eagles by the Sidewinders.

Wyatt Robinson led Sandy Valley with 12 points.

Word of Life 67, Beaver Dam 43 — At Littlefield, Ariz., the Eagles beat the Diamondbacks.
