BOYS BASKETBALL: Liberty tops Foothill in overtime

Julian Strawther had 22 points and 11 rebounds Wednesday as Liberty’s boys basketball team topped host Foothill 71-66 in overtime.
Jordan Holt had 12 points and Tyrone Marigney scored 10 for the Patriots, who trailed 47-41 after three quarters.
Liberty led by two with three seconds left in regulation, but Foothill’s Marvin Coleman sank two free throws to send the game into overtime.
Coleman finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and teammate Jace Roquemore scored 15 points for the Falcons.
Palo Verde 68, Arbor View 66 — At Palo Verde, James Camp had 20 points, and the Panthers held off the Aggies.
Palo Verde led 68-65 in the closing seconds, but fouled Arbor View attempting a 3-pointer with 0.1 left on the clock.
But the Aggies made just 1 of 3 free throws, and Palo Verde escaped with the win.
Cole Hendershot added 16 points, and Mitchell Olsen scored 10 for the Panthers.
Calvin Brooks led Arbor View with 18 points. Comillion Smith and Jarrod Burks each had 13 points for Palo Verde.
Basic 77, Silverado 69 — At Basic, Frank Harris had 21 points and 29 rebounds to lead the Wolves to a close win over the Skyhawks.
Geoff Faries had 17 points, and teammate Cris Dominguez 11 for Basic, which got 10 points from Peter Nelson.
Devin Ross led Silverado with 25 points. Trevon Martin and Caden Farley each scored 19 for the Skyhawks.
Cimarron-Memorial 53, Faith Lutheran 49 — At Cimarron, Demarco Alexander had 16 points and seven rebounds to power the Spartans over the Crusaders.
Elijah Kothe scored 17 for the Crusaders, and teammate Jaylen Fox had 15 points.
Western 68, Sunrise Mountain 48 — At Western, Kwan Carter scored 25 points, and teammate Anthony Dodson had 22 points to guide the Warriors to an easy win over the Miners.
Jesus Rojo added 10 points for Western, which outscored Sunrise Mountain 27-15 over the middle quarters.
Steven Adeyemi had 25 points to lead the Miners.
Coronado 77, Green Valley 49 — At Green Valley, Trey Hurlburt had 19 points as the Cougars topped the Gators.
Kennedy Koehler added 16 points, and Will Weems scored 15 for Coronado.
Eric Johnson paced Green Valley with 16 points.
Centennial 78, Legacy 36 — At Legacy, Troy Brown had 23 points as the Bulldogs rolled past the Longhorns.
Isaiah Banks scored 17, and Darian Scott supplied 10 points for Centennial, which opened with a 30-point first quarter and led 41-28 at halftime.
D’Eric Marlowe scored nine points for Legacy.
Cheyenne 67, Mojave 38 — At Mojave, Dewayne Alexander scored a game-high 23 points to lift the Desert Shields over the Rattlers.
Ke’Shawn Hall added eight points for Cheyenne, which outscored Mojave 33-11 in the second half.
Tyrice Pender scored 15 points to lead the Rattlers.
Desert Pines 68, Pahrump Valley 28 — At Desert Pines, Capri Uzan scored 22 points as the Jaguars routed the Trojans.
Derrick Coleman provided 10 points, 15 rebounds and four assists, and Javell Watkins added 11 points and 12 rebounds for Desert Pines, which bolted to a 40-15 halftime lead.
David Sidhu led Pahrump with seven points.
