BOYS BASKETBALL: Logan’s big fourth quarter helps Bonanza put away Rancho

Jamal Logan scored 14 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter Friday to help Bonanza’s boys basketball team rally for a 59-57 victory over visiting Rancho.

The Rams, who led 49-42 after three quarters, had a potential game-winning 3-pointer blocked by the Bengals’ DaVonta Price as time expired.

D.J. Fletcher had 10 points, and teammate Davian Jordan added 10 rebounds for Bonanza, which went 4 of 15 from the free-throw line.

David McKeever scored 16 points, and Lamont Traylor added 14 points for Rancho, which got 10 points apiece from Chrys Jackson and Ryan Hafen.

Desert Oasis 57, Shadow Ridge 45 — At Desert Oasis, Aamondae Coleman had 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Diamondbacks past the Mustangs.

Drevin Cannon added 11 points for Desert Oasis, which outscored Shadow Ridge 17-9 in the third quarter to pull away.

Kevin Branch scored nine points to lead the Mustangs.

Faith Lutheran 53, Boulder City 36 — At Faith Lutheran, Elijah Kothe had 14 points as the Crusaders rolled over the Eagles.

Gary Tharaldson scored 13 for Faith Lutheran, which outscored Boulder City 45-28 in the final three quarters.

Austin Newby led Boulder City with 16 points.

Green Valley 75, Silverado 33 — At Green Valley, Canyon Lewis had 14 points and 15 rebounds off the bench as the Gators rolled past the Skyhawks.

Romello Jones added 15 points for Green Valley, which led 41-19 at the half.

Matthew Arnold scored 11 points for Silverado.

Virgin Valley 46, Moapa Valley 35 — At Moapa Valley, Cody Burnside scored 19 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Pirates.

The Bulldogs outscored the Pirates 21-10 in the fourth quarter to take control of the game. The Bulldogs also hit 18 of 31 free throws.

Zach Barnum added 10 points for Virgin Valley.

Andrew Huerta and Dalton Gordon each scored eight points to lead the Pirates.

Lake Mead 68, Laughlin 53 — At Lake Mead, Trey Vetter scored 18 points to lead the Eagles past the Cougars.

Vetter hit 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

Brendon LeBaron had 14 points, Hunter Harris added 13 points, and Dylan Graham scored 12 for Lake Mead.

Corey Anderson hit five 3-pointers and scored 31 points to lead Laughlin.

Coda Abati added 13 points for the Cougars.

The Meadows 78, White Pine 39 — At The Meadows, Asheesh Chopra had 21 points to help the Mustangs rout the Bobcats.

Jake Epstein added 19 points for The Meadows, which led 21-5 after one quarter.

Max Hisatake had 12 points, and Ethan Fridman scored 10 for the Mustangs.

Chris Young scored 16 to lead White Pine.

Agassi Prep 64, Needles 32 — At Needles, Calif., Chris Lancaster had 17 points, and Deishuan Booker scored 16 as the Stars routed the Mustangs.

Trenton Poe-Evans led Needles with 10 points.

Lincoln County 51, Calvary Chapel 46 — At Calvary Chapel, McClain O’Connor had 20 points to help the Lynx hold off the Lions.

Mike Wood added 12 points for Lincoln County, which led 39-31 after three quarters.

Matthew Harney had 19 points, and teammate Killian Diers scored 10 for Calvary Chapel.

Spring Mountain 64, Mountain View 60 — At Mountain View, Steve Jones hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead the Golden Eagles over the Saints.

Shakori Clark added 14 points, and Maurice Stitt scored 10 for Spring Mountain.

Connor LeBoeuf had 30 points, nine steals and seven rebounds to pace Mountain View.
