BOYS BASKETBALL: Miller rallies Panthers by Desert Pines

Taylor Miller scored 16 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter Friday as Palo Verde's boys basketball team rallied for an 85-84 win over visiting Desert Pines.

The Panthers trailed 64-53 after three quarters but stormed back to take a five-point lead with a minute to play before holding on for the win.

Cole Hendershot added 12 points for Palo Verde.

Trevon Abdullah led the Jaguars with 31 points. Capri Uzan had 25 points, and Greg Floyd scored 16 for Desert Pines.

Moapa Valley 42, Virgin Valley 38 — At Overton, Nate Cox scored 15 points to lead the Pirates past the Bulldogs.

Moapa Valley trailed 25-18 at halftime, but outscored Virgin Valley 19-7 in the third quarter. Koby Frei added nine points for Moapa Valley.

Jarret Tietjen led Virgin Valley with 10 points.

Mojave 66, Legacy 56 — At Mojave, Chrishawn Thomas led three-double figure scorers with 18 points as the Rattlers topped the Longhorns.

Richard Edwards added 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Daryl Adams scored 12 for Mojave, which led 37-28 at halftime.

Timothy Jeffries led Legacy with 20 points. Darious Dunson had 12 points, and teammate Kameron Delgadillo scored 10 for the Longhorns.

Basic 73, Boulder City 60 — At Boulder City, Christopher Dominguez scored 29 points to lead the Wolves over the Eagles.

Kerry Keyes added 10 points for Basic.

Peyton Koopman scored 17 points to lead Boulder City, and Zach Murphy added 12 points for the Eagles.

Del Sol 65, Pahrump Valley 47 — At Pahrump, Taaric Flowers, Jonathan Spearman and Antonio Simpson each scored 10 points to lead the Dragons past the Trojans.

Myles Dunn and Byron Rowson each scored eight points for Del Sol, which led 21-6 after one quarter.

Danny Foss scored 32 points to lead the Trojans.

Faith Lutheran 61, Spring Valley 32 — At Spring Valley, Zach Friel scored 20 points as the Crusaders rolled past the Grizzlies.

Luke Bergen and Elijah Kothe each scored 15 points for Faith Lutheran, which used a 23-7 third-quarter run to pull away.

Sal Everett scored nine points to lead the Grizzlies.

Agassi Prep 56, Needles 40 — At Agassi Prep, Aiden Olivas scored 17 points to lead the Stars past the Mustangs.

Jared Holmes grabbed 15 rebounds for Agassi Prep, which outscored Needles 20-9 in the fourth quarter.

Devin Darrow paced Needles with 10 points.

The Meadows 66, White Pine 31 — At The Meadows, Max Hisatake had 23 points as the Mustangs rolled past the Bobcats.

Jake Epstein scored 17 points, and Asheesh Chopra added 11 points for The Meadows, which led 52-19 at the half.

Sam Stewart, Jonathan Gust and Dekoda Barela each scored six points for White Pine.

Calvary Chapel 59, Lincoln County 46 — At Calvary Chapel, Killian Diers had 18 points to lead the Lions by the Lynx.

Alec Neider added 13 points for Calvary Chapel.

Elijah Harr, Brady Lawrence and Thomas Gloeckner each had nine points for Lincoln County.

Pahranagat Valley 39, Tonopah 22 — At Alamo, Culen Highbe scored all 11 of his points in the first half as the Panthers grabbed a 30-0 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Muckers.

Hunter Galli led Tonopah with six points.
