BOYS BASKETBALL: Quinn’s 3-pointer at the buzzer lifts Miners over Rams

Trellis Quinn hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer Friday to give Sunrise Mountain’s boys basketball team a 65-62 win at Rancho.

Damon Heard scored 23 points to lead the Miners, who never trailed until the final minute. Quinn added 15 points.

Jaylin Gaston led the Rams with 18 points. Kenneth Smith had 11 points, and Chrys Jackson scored 10 for Rancho.

Bishop Gorman 63, Orange Lutheran (Calif.) 42 — At Phoenix, Noah Robotham had 14 points, five assists and five steals, and Chase Jeter added 11 points and 13 rebounds as the Gaels pulled away from Orange Lutheran in the HoopHall West Tournament.

Stephen Zimmerman added 10 points and eight rebounds for Gorman, which grabbed a 28-20 halftime lead.

C.J. Hankins paced Orange Lutheran with 15 points, and teammate Rogers Printup scored 12.

Desert Pines 79, Eldorado 51 — At Desert Pines, Nate Grimes had 17 points and 16 rebounds as the Jaguars ran away from the Sundevils.

Coby Myles had 15 points and eight assists, and Re’meake Keith added 14 points for Desert Pines.

D’Quan Crockett scored 14 points to lead Eldorado.

Durango 91, Mojave 78 — At Durango, Darryl Gaynor scored 27 of his 40 points in the second half as the Trailblazers downed the Rattlers.

Alex Arias had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Victor Ross added 18 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for Durango.

Malik Abbott had 20 points, and Darryl Adams added 15 points for Mojave, which got 13 points from Melvin Irvey.

Green Valley 92, Del Sol 62 — At Green Valley, Tyrell Crosby had 21 points and 20 rebounds to help the Gators rout the Dragons.

Christopher Miller had 18 points and seven assists, and Brandon Burke and Kris Nicholas scored 11 points apiece for the Gators.

Rashaun Lawson had 23 points, and teammate Kyle Collins scored 17 for Del Sol.

Faith Lutheran 49, Boulder City 45 — At Boulder City, Conner Vang had 11 points to help the Crusaders edge the Eagles.

Michael Holthus and Clayton Holthaus scored nine points apiece for Faith Lutheran, which trailed 19-18 at halftime.

Marcus Walker scored 15 points for Boulder City, which shot just 9 of 21 from the free-throw line. Tyler Newby and Lane Worrall each added 11 points for the Eagles.

Cimarron-Memorial 101, Palo Verde 82 — At Palo Verde, Austin Garrison had 33 points, and the Spartans scored 64 points in the second half to rally from a 48-37 halftime deficit and beat the Panthers.

Tony Harrison added 25 points, and Amani Gill scored 18 for Cimarron.

Braxton Richards led Palo Verde with 29 points. Ja Morgan had 22 points, and Nick Cavaleri added 10 points for the Panthers.

Chaparral 64, Spring Valley 59 — At Spring Valley, Tyree McNeal scored 12 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter to help the Cowboys rally to top the Grizzlies.

Marc Silas added 14 points for Chaparral, which trailed 45-43 going into the fourth quarter.

Travis Walton led Spring Valley with 22 points. DeVante Moten and Ryan Goecke each scored 15 for the Grizzlies.

Silverado 56, Basic 36 — At Silverado, Joe Baldi scored 17 points to help the Skyhawks defeat the Wolves.

Isaiah Glover added 14 points and 13 rebounds for Silverado, which took over after halftime.

Desert Oasis 67, Moapa Valley 43 — At Mesquite, Kodi Leslie scored 18 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Pirates in the first round of the Bulldog Invitational.

Deric Hammock added 13 points for Desert Oasis.

Lance Hilton had 13 points for Moapa Valley.

Shadow Ridge 58, Enterprise (Utah) 55 — At Mesquite, Seraphin Decker scored 16 points to lead the Mustangs over the Wolves in the Bulldog Invitational.

Brian Freeman scored 12 points, and Preston Echols added 10 points for the Mustangs.

Justin Prisbrey led all scorers with 18 points for Enterprise.

Virgin Valley 71, Bonanza 57 — At Mesquite, Garrett Leavitt hit six 3-pointers and finished with 24 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Bengals in the Bulldog Invitational.

Dee Bowler added 20 points for Virgin Valley.

DeAndre Hicks had 19 points, and D.J. Fletcher scored 10 for Bonanza.

The Meadows 63, Tech 35 — At Mesquite, Eric Hirsberg scored 24 points to lead the Mustangs past the Roadrunners in the first round of the Bulldog Invitational.

Brandon Rufty added 13 points for The Meadows.

Elijah Roberston had 15 points for Tech.

Santa Margarita (Calif.) 83, Legacy 48 — At Santa Margarita, Calif., Joe Furstinger and Brett Oosdyke had 17 points apiece as the Eagles downed the Longhorns.

Scott Wieserski and Colin Ferrier each added 10 points for Santa Margarita, which stormed out to a 45-13 halftime lead.

Jacob Rainey led Legacy with 13 points.

Mountain View 52, Pahrump Valley 38 — At Mountain View, Tevin Gray had 12 points, and the Saints used a 13-2 first-quarter run to down the Trojans.

Connor LeBoeuf added 11 points for the Saints.

Jerrod Richardson led Pahrump with eight points.

Spring Mountain 48, Sandy Valley 44 — At Sandy Valley, Harlow Harkins scored 24 points to help the Golden Eagles nip the Sidewinders.

Logan Shelton had 16 points for Sandy Valley.
