BOYS BASKETBALL: Solis, Longhorns top Aggies

Christian Solis scored 20 points Monday to help Legacy’s boys basketball team rally for a 59-47 season-opening win at Arbor View.

Jalen Glover added 12 points for the Longhorns, who trailed 32-28 at the half.

Trent Hunt paced the Aggies with 20 points.

Valley 70, Eldorado 51 — At Valley, Taveon Jackson had 27 points and 13 rebounds as the Vikings rolled past the Sundevils.

Darrion Daniels added 13 points, and Shea Garland had 11 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for Valley.

Leonte Collins led the Sundevils with 14 points. Carmonte Jones added 10 points for Eldorado.

Canyon Springs 77, Cheyenne 56 — At Canyon Springs, Jordan Davis scored 24 points as the Pioneers beat the Desert Shields.

D’Quan Crockett added 14 points for Canyon Springs, which outscored Cheyenne 27-12 in the third quarter to pull away.

Chanel Banks added 13 points, and Kajuan Casey scored 10 for the Pioneers.

Bruce Gaitor and Joseph Rose each scored 13 points for Cheyenne, which got 11 points fro Alahjan Banks.

Coral Academy 73, Sunrise Mountain 44 — At Sunrise Mountain, Isaiah Buck had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Falcons past the Miners.

Isaiah Spears scored 16 points, and Alex Ferrer had 12 points, for Coral, which also got 10 points from Kaleb Robinson.

Damon Heard scored 22 points to lead the Miners. Trellis Quinn added 12 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Mountain View 62, Adelson School 57 — At Mountain View, Connor LeBoeuf had 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Saints past the Lions.

Tevin Gray added 16 points and seven assists for the Saints.

Jake Buchman led the Lions with 15 points. Rom Izkovich added 13 points, and Jacob Elharrar scored 10 for the Lions.

The top four Class 5A boys basketball teams — Coronado, Liberty, Bishop Gorman and Arbor View — will play for the state title Thursday and Friday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
