BOYS BASKETBALL: Sunrise Mountain clinches first playoff berth in school history with win over Mojave

Steven Adeyemi and Trevor White scored 14 points apiece Tuesday to help Sunrise Mountain’s boys basketball team clinch the first playoff berth in the program’s history with a 62-49 home win over Mojave.

Stephen Wright added eight points for Sunrise Mountain, which opened in 2009.

Tyrice Pender had 14 points for Mojave, and teammate Chris Jackson scored 12.

Liberty 58, Silverado 53 — At Silverado, Julian Strawther scored 21 points as the Patriots rallied past the Skyhawks.

Cameron Burist added 16 points, and Dyllan Robinson scored 10 for Liberty, which trailed 30-19 at halftime but outscored Silverado 39-23 in the second half.

Devin Ross led Silverado with 18 points. Martell Williams had 16 points, and Caden Farley scored 13 for the Skyhawks.

Green Valley 64, Basic 61 — At Basic, Eric Johnson had 21 points, and Michael Jackson added 14 points to help the Gators hold off the Wolves.

Canyon Lewis had 12 points, and Matthew Tuttle scored 10 for Green Valley, which led 55-40 after the third quarter.

B.J. Wilson led Basic with 16 points. Cris Dominguez had nine of his 11 points in the fourth quarter for the Wolves but missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer that would have sent the game to overtime.

Arbor View 58, Legacy 51 — At Arbor View, Sevonyea Smith had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Donovan Yap added 13 points as the Aggies rallied to beat the Longhorns.

Comillion Smith scored 10 for Arbor View, which trailed 41-37 after three quarters.

D’Eric Marlowe scored a game-high 19 points for Legacy, which also got 17 points from Chris White and 10 points from Quentin Brewster.

Faith Lutheran 74, Palo Verde 68 — At Faith Lutheran, Nic Maccioni had 32 points and 12 rebounds to lift the Crusaders over the Panthers.

Jaylen Fox added 14 points, and Elijah Kothe scored 12 for Faith Lutheran, which led 58-36 after three quarters.

Dylan Yoro had 14 points, and Cole Hendershot scored 10 for Palo Verde.

Shadow Ridge 69, Cimarron-Memorial 58 — At Shadow Ridge, Bricin Ford scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures as the Mustangs ran past the Spartans.

James Fuller had 16 points, Kevin Branch added 12 points, and Garin MacFarlane scored 10 for Shadow Ridge, which used a 25-17 fourth quarter to pull away.

Demarco Alexander led Cimarron with 16 points. Brian Washington had 15 points, and Kamakana Winquist scored 11 for the Spartans.

Bishop Gorman 101, Bonanza 64 — At Bonanza, Jamal Bey led five players in double figures with 26 points as the Gaels rolled past the Bengals.

Chuck O’Bannon had 15 points, Ryan Kiley added 11 points, and Ray Leon and Dominic Proctor scored 10 apiece for Gorman, which sprinted to a 52-34 halftime lead.

Brandon Noone scored 24 points for Bonanza, which also got 14 points from Steven Reese and 10 points from Zioan Blakeney.

Desert Pines 59, Western 37 — At Desert Pines, Trevon Abdullah-Booker had 23 points and eight rebounds to power the Jaguars by the Warriors.

Capri Uzan added 12 points and five assists, and Javell Watkins added six points and seven assists for Desert Pines, which made seven 3-pointers.

Kwan Carter scored 17 points to lead Western. Anthony Dodson had 15 points for the Warriors.

Cheyenne 68, Pahrump Valley 36 — At Pahrump, Dewayne Alexander scored 15 points to help lead the Desert Shields to an easy win over the Trojans.

Kavon Williams added 10 points for Cheyenne, which led 27-14 at halftime.

Antonio Fortin had a team-high 15 points to pace Pahrump Valley.

Adelson School 52, Needles 41 — At Adelson School, Jake Buchman scored 19 points as the Lions downed the Mustangs.

Miles Hagan and Brandon Pappas each added 11 points for Adelson School, which jumped out to a 28-12 halftime lead.

Marcus Mills scored 12 points to pace Needles.

Mountain View 60, Lake Mead 49 — At Lake Mead, Terrence Brooks scored 19 points as the Saints cruised past the Eagles.

Daniel Reyes added 19 points, and Tyrell Brooks scored 18 for Mountain View.

Kaiaokumulani Madela led Lake Mead with 16 points. Joshua Thorell had 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles.

Pahranagat Valley 54, White Pine 42 — At Alamo, Culen Highbe had 18 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks to lead the Panthers by the Bobcats.

Tabor Maxwell added 12 points, and Cody Williams scored 10 for Pahranagat Valley, which 27-16 at halftime.

Samuel Stewart led White Pine with 13 points.

Agassi Prep 83, Laughlin 47 — At Agassi Prep, Akeemis Williams hit six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points as the Stars routed the Cougars.

Allen Merritt had 14 points, and Najeeb Muhammad tallied 10 points and 10 assists for Agassi Prep. Miles Mixon added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Stars, who led 38-19 at halftime.

Coda Abatti had 18 points, and Corey Anderson scored 13 for Laughlin.

Word of Life 73, Sandy Valley 50 — At Sandy Valley, Bryce Ethridge led four double-figure scorers to help the Eagles top the Sidewinders.

Jared House added 19 points, and Tyler Jiles and Jaiden Stuckey each scored 13 for Word of Life, which led 40-24 at the half.

Wyatt Robinson paced Sandy Valley with 23 points, and teammate Joshua Harmon scored 11.
