Clark’s Greg Foster commits to Gonzaga

Clark senior Greg Foster made an oral commitment on Tuesday to play basketball at Gonzaga, choosing the national runner-up Bulldogs over UTEP, his father’s alma mater.

The 6-foot-7-inch standout confirmed the news in a text message to the Review-Journal.

“I’d be able to be point guard and have the opportunity to come in and play right away,” Foster said.

Foster, who was raised in El Paso, Texas, is expected to sign a national letter of intent on Wednesday, which is the first day of the fall signing period.

Foster played three years of high school basketball in Milwaukee before moving with his mother to Las Vegas to conclude his prep career. He is a four-star prospect, according to ESPN.com.

Foster’s father, Greg, spent 13 years in the NBA, and is now in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks.
