Las Vegas Prep Championship: Eldorado edges California team with 23 points from Jonathan Thomas

Jonathan Thomas scored a game-high 23 points to lead Eldorado’s boys basketball team to a 75-65 victory over Santa Fe (California) in the Las Vegas Prep Championship on Wednesday afternoon.

Jordan Carter tacked on 15 points for the Sundevils, who also got 12 points from Kemo Bell.

Marcus Adams led Santa Fe with 22 points.

Desert Pines 67, Innovations International 38 — Dayshawn Willey scored 17 points to help the Jaguars dispose of the Ambassadors.

Darius Mitchell scored 16 points for Desert Pines.

Jose Hernandez led Innovations International with 13 points.

Las Vegas 72, Chaparral 57 — Donovan Joyner scored 24 points to lead the Wildcats over the Cowboys.

Jaylin Headen added 14 points for Las Vegas.

Jonathan Tendale scored a team-high 24 points for Chaparral.

Legacy 66, Jefferson (Calif.) 30 — Jalen Johnson scored a game-high 17 points to ensure the Longhorns ran away from the Democrats.

Tyrell Nolen finished with 10 points for Legacy.

John Henderson had 15 points to lead Jefferson.

Merced (Calif.) 54, Western 22 — Warriors guard Kizhonie Blunt scored 16 points in a loss to the Bears.

No other player had more than two points for Western.

Jeremy Redwine led Merced with 14 points.

Garfield (Calif.) 52, Valley 39 — Oscar Burns and Trey Harp each scored 10 points in the Vikings’ loss to the Bulldogs.
