Before he coached at American Preparatory Academy, Dave Bliss was hired as boys basketball coach and athletic director at Calvary Chapel, a Las Vegas Class 2A-level high school.
The Review-Journal today examined Bliss’ latest stop: He’s athletic director and basketball coach at American Prep Academy, a K-12 charter school in Clark County.

Seth Bozzi scored all 17 of his points in the second half to lead the Serpents to a 62-38 victory over the Golden Eagles in the Class 1A state title game at Orleans Arena on Saturday.
The Meadows Joseph Epstein had a game-high 17 points, but the Mustangs struggled to find consistency on offense and fell 38-33 to Incline in the Class 2A state title game at Orleans Arena.

Jalen Hill had 19 points and seven rebounds as Clark rolled to a 55-40 win over Desert Pines in the Class 4A boys state basketball quarterfinals. Arbor View defeated Spanish Springs 72-56 in the other quarterfinal.

Mwani Wilkinson scored all 18 of his points in the second half, including Gorman’s first 12 points of the fourth quarter, as the Gaels defeated the Jaguars 52-42 in the Southern Nevada boys basketball championship game.
Though the Rattlers built what seemed like an insurmountable lead in the first half of the Class 3A Southern Region championship game, they needed to make five free throws down the stretch to stave off a frenetic comeback from Chaparral to earn a 64-60 victory at Del Sol.
