Pilots advance to Iolani Classic final

Nigel Williams-Goss and Allerick Freeman combined to score the final six points of the game — all from the free-throw line — on Friday and lead Findlay Prep's basketball team to a 40-35 win over Montrose Christian (Md.) in a semifinal of the Iolani Classic in Honolulu.

The Pilots held an 11-point first-half lead, but Montrose Christian rallied to take a 35-34 lead with less than three minutes to play.

Williams-Goss twice drained a pair of free throws, and Freeman added two more after Montrose Christian missed a 3-point attempt with two seconds left.

The Pilots will face La Lumiere (Ind.) in the final at 10 p.m. Saturday.
