RECRUITING: Findlay Prep’s Clark commits to Baylor

Findlay Prep junior Tristan Clark made an oral commitment to Baylor on Friday, announcing his decision on Twitter.

Clark's commitment is nonbinding, and he cannot sign a letter of intent until November 2016. Baylor's coaches cannot comment until that time.

Clark, a 6-foot-8-inch power forward, transferred to Findlay Prep after playing last season at Judson High in Converse, Texas. He averaged 9.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 blocked shots as a sophomore.

Clark is rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com, and Rivals ranks him No. 102 overall in the class of 2017.

Clark chose Baylor over Creighton and New Mexico, according to multiple reports. UNLV was one of several schools to offer a scholarship to Clark, who also made unofficial visits to Rice and Texas.

Clark is the third member of this year's Findlay Prep team to make an oral commitment, joining seniors Carlos Johnson (UNLV) and Skylar Mays (Louisiana State). He is Baylor's first commitment in the class of 2017.
