RECRUITING: Williams-Goss pulls commitment from UNLV

Findlay Prep sophomore guard Nigel Williams-Goss has reopened his recruitment, his father, Virgil Williams-Goss, said Monday.

Nigel Williams-Goss originally committed to UNLV on Dec. 15, but has decided to reconsider his options after coach Lon Kruger left UNLV for Oklahoma on April 1.

Virgil Williams-Goss said he and his family are hoping to meet with new Rebels coach Dave Rice sometime in the next week.

“(Nigel) had almost a year of getting to know coach Kruger before he committed,” Virgil Williams-Goss said, adding that his son hopes to build a genuine relationship with the Rebels’ new staff.

In addition to UNLV, Virgil Williams-Goss said his son also is considering scholarship offers from Washington, Oregon, UCLA, Oregon State, Missouri and George Washington.
