ROUNDUP: Billingsley, Eldorado boys take down Wolves

D.J. Billingsley tallied 25 points Friday, and Eldorado’s boys basketball team rallied from a 40-28 halftime deficit to hand visiting Basic its first loss of the season, 72-65.

Jayveon Brown scored 20 points and D’Quan Crockett added 11 for Eldorado.

Isaiah Villaros scored 16 points, and Ryan Diggs and Andrew Lopez each scored 12 points for Basic.

Coronado 75, Liberty 71 — At Liberty, Jordan Willis scored 26 points to help the Cougars edge the Patriots.

Justice Augmon scored 19 points, and Charlie Teixeira had 17 points for Coronado.

Tyler Newman had 20 points, and Kai Nacua added 19 points to lead Liberty.

Valley 84, Green Valley 64 — At Green Valley, Daniel Young had 23 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks to help the Vikings beat the Gators.

Ryan Johnson scored 20 points to help Valley, and teammate Eric Burrell added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Tyler Roberts led Green Valley with 23 points and seven rebounds. Clyde Austin scored 13, and Troy Cropper had 10 points for the Gators.

Las Vegas 80, Rancho 37 — At Rancho, Re’Kwon Smith had 21 points to lead the Wildcats to a victory over the Rams.

Juwan Major added 15 points, and Aziz Leeks scored 12 for Las Vegas, which got 11 points from Leo Goodman.

Ryan Hafen led Rancho with 17 points.

Palo Verde 83, Sierra Vista 69 — At Palo Verde, Eris Winder scored 33 points to lead the Panthers over the Mountain Lions.

Sam Hutchings added 10 points for Palo Verde.

Reggie Turner scored 15 points for Sierra Vista, and teammate Christian Tirol added 14 points.

Canyon Springs 68, Silverado 36— At Canyon Springs, Tim Straghter had 19 points, and Chris Nelson added 15 to lead the Pioneers over the Skyhawks.

Chris Swanson added 10 points for Canyon Springs, which led 32-14 at the half.

Isaiah Glover led the way for Silverado with 14 points.

Foothill 78, Del Sol 44 — At Foothill, Chris Echols scored seven of his 14 points in the third quarter to help the Falcons pull away for a win over the Dragons.

David Persi also scored 14 points, and Austin Starr had 12 points for Foothill, which took over with a 38-point third quarter.

Michael DeLeon scored nine points to lead Del Sol.

Desert Pines 68, Kearns (Utah) 61 — At Provo, Utah, Re’meake Keith had 18 points and eight rebounds, and the Jaguars fought back from a 44-29 halftime deficit to top the Cougars in the Tip-Off Classic.

Julian Jacobs added 15 points, and Coby Myles scored 11 for Desert Pines.

Dayan Goodman led Kearns with 17 points, and teammate Bushman Ebet added 16 points.

Clark 71, Southern Academy (Ala.) 40 — At Clark, Diontae Jones scored 20 points to lead the Chargers over Southern Academy.

Sir Washington scored 19 points, and teammate Malcolm Davis added 13 points.

Lake Mead 71, Agassi Prep 56 — At Lake Mead, Justin Yamzon scored 22 points to help the Eagles beat the Stars.

Wesley Brule scored 19, and Dylan Graham added 13 points for Lake Mead, which got 11 points from Brendan LeBaron.

Jordan Smith led Agassi Prep with 27 points.

The Meadows 69, Needles 46 — At Needles, Calif., Adam Abdelaziz poured in 18 points, and Matthew Biafore scored 15 as The Meadows downed Needles.

Ethan Fridman added 10 points for The Meadows, which led 32-13 at the half.

Wyatt Upshaw paced Needles with 16 points, and teammate Mason Cisneros scored 14.

Pahranagat Valley 59, White Pine 36 — At Alamo, Tyler Hibgee had 16 points, and the Panthers limited the Bobcats to two first-quarter points on their way to the win.

Austin Poulsen added 15 points, and Wade Leavitt scored 10 for Pahranagat.
