Roundup: Bonanza topples Sunrise Mountain in finale

Chase Hafen posted a game-high 32 points to lead Bonanza’s boys basketball team to an 84-73 victory over Sunrise Mountain in its season finale on Friday.

Kendall Burrell added 19 points, and Derek Davis scored 16 for the Bengals.

Stephen Adeyemi led the Miners with 30 points. Dalvin Brown scored 15 points, and Marcus Pickens had 11 points for Sunrise Moutnain.

Beaver Dam 42, Round Mountain 18 — At Beaver Dam, Oscar Plancarte scored 14 points to lead the Diamondbacks in a rout of the Knights.

Jose Avila scored 11 points for the Diamondbacks, who led 24-9 at halftime.

Colton Alstatt scored seven points to lead the Knights.

Sandy Valley 60, Beatty 43 — At Sandy Valley, Ramiro Solano-Sanchez had21 points to help the Sidewinders clinch the final spot in the Class 1A Southern League playoffs with a win over the Hornets.

Sandy Valley, Beatty and Beaver Dam all finished tied for sixth in the league, but the wide margin of victory allowed the Sidewinders to win a tiebreaker on point differential.

Rian Cripe added 14 points, and Justin Frondarina scored 12 for Sandy Valley.

Geo Maldonado led Beatty with 15 points, and teammate Jorge Leon scored 13.

Western 63, Pahrump Valley 60 — At Pahrump, Ka’Mari Kelly scored 32 points to lead the Warriors past the Trojans.

Keanu McGee scored 14 points for the Warriors, who hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the win.

Antonio Fortin scored 23 points to lead the Trojans, and Grant Odegard added 17 points for Pahrump.

Democracy Prep 75, Lincoln County 39 — At Lincoln County, Najeeb Muhammad scored 24 points to lead the Blue Knights in a rout of the Lynx.

Muhammad hit five 3-pointers for the Blue Knights.

Daniel Plummer scored 19 points, and Jared Holmes added 12 points for the Blue Knights, who led 21-8 after the first quarter.

Elijah Harr scored 11 points to lead the Lynx, and teammate Landen Smith scored 10 points.

Pahranagat Valley 59, Indian Springs 26 — At Alamo, Culen Highbe scored a game-high 22 points, and the Panthers disposed of the Thunderbirds.

Dallin Davis led Indian Springs with nine points.
