Roundup: Boulder City rolls to Lake Mead Holiday Classic title

Derrick Thomas had 13 points Saturday as Boulder City’s boys basketball team rolled to a 62-32 win over Spring Creek in the championship game of the Lake Mead Holiday Classic.
Elias Woodbury added 10 pionts for the Eagles, who outscored the Spartans 21-5 in the third quarter to pull away.
Thomas and Carson Balistere were named to the all-tournament team for Boulder City.
Levi Yaunick, who also made the all-tournament team, scored 10 to lead the Spartans.
West Wendover 66, SLAM Academy 65 — Saul Palacios had 25 points to lead the Wolverines over the Bulls for third place.
Londan Coleman had 24 points to lead SLAM Academy, and teammate Jalen Cunningham scored 21.
Palacios and Coleman made the all-tournament team.
Fernley 54, Virgin Valley 43 — ZachBurns had 25 points to lead the Vaqueros over the Bulldogs in the consolation final.
Cade Anderson had nine points for Virgin Valley.
Burns and Virgin Valley’s Jayden Perkins made the all-tournament team.
Lake Mead 37, Lincoln County 28 — Kaiaokumulani Madela had 13 points as the Eagles beat the Lynx.
Ryan Kennedy added 12 points for Lake Mead, which led Lincoln County to 12 second-half points. Madela made the all-tournament team.
Kobe Walker and Kobe Kelley each scored six for Lincoln County.
Fernley 67, The Meadows 33 — Burns had 16 points as the Vaqueros rolled past the Mustangs.
Noah Klein had 12 points to lead The Meadows, and teammate Obinna Ezeanolue scored nine.
Ezeanolue was named to the all-tournament team.
Moapa Valley 54, Calvary Chapel 47 — Derek Reese had 24 points to lead the Pirates over the Lions.
Nathaniel Thompson added 15 points for Moapa Valley.
Eljah Martinez paced Calvary Chapel with 16 points. Blake Box (13 points) and J.J. Robinson (10 points) also scored in double figures for the Lions.

Desert Oasis 77, Palo Verde 44 — At Yuma, Arizona, the Diamondbacks outscored the Panthers 40-17 in the second half to claim a second consecutive Southwest Rotary Classic title.
Desert Oasis’ Jacob Heese was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, and teammate Felix Reeves made the all-tournament team.
Kofa (Ariz.) 72, Mountain View 64 — At Yuma, Arizona, Terrence Brooks had 32 points and 13 rebounds, but the Saints fell to the Kings in the Southwest Rotary Classic.
Tyrell Brooks added 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Mountain View.
Chuy Ortiz paced Kofa with 19 points.
Needles 57, Hopi (Ariz.) 38 — At Williams, Arizona, Doogie Harvey had 15 points to lead the Mustangs over the Bruins in the Williams Holiday Tournament.
Tournament MVP Trey Tsosie added 13 points, and Irving Juarez scored 11 for Needles.
Juarez and Dillon Darrow also made the all-tournament team.
Steven Baker led Hopi with 11 points.
Folsom (Calif.) 68, Bishop Gorman 61 — At Reno, Martis Johnson scored 30 points to lead the Bulldogs over the Gaels in the championship game of the Wild West Shootout.
Jamal Bey had 24 points and eight rebounds to lead Gorman, which trailed 21-8 after one quarter and couldn’t recover.
Noah Taitz added 19 points, and D.J. Howe had six assists for the Gaels.
Birmingham (Calif.) 85, Liberty 69 — At Reno, Devonaire Doutrive poured in 39 points as the Birmingham rallied for the win.
Birmingham outscored Liberty 33-8 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.
Julian Strawther had 28 points, and Cameron Burist scored 10 for Liberty, which got 10 points from Jordan Wafer.
Coronado 54, Bingham (Utah) 53 — At Cedar City, Utah, Jaden Hardy had 13 points as the Cougars held off the Miners.
Patrick Simms added nine points for Coronado.
Bingham had a final chance, but missed a shot at the buzzer.
Findlay Prep 56, Aspire Academy (Ky.) — At Benton, Kentucky, Bol Bol had 14 points and the Pilots held off the Wizards in the Marshall County Hoopfest.
Kyler Edwards added 13 points for Findlay Prep, which trailed 21-19 at the half.
Pahranagat Valley 60, Elko JV 20 — At Wells, Stockton Maxwell scored 19 points as the Panthers rolled past the Indians junior varsity in the Wells Rural Electric Tournament.
Richard Lewis added 14 points, and Preston Higbee scored 10 for Pahranagat Valley.
