ROUNDUP: Broussard powers Cimarron-Memorial boys past Beetdiggers

J.C. Broussard had 25 points and five assists Thursday to help Cimarron-Memorial’s boys basketball team to a 78-73 home win over Jordan (Utah).

Austin Garrison added 15 points, and Donald Hardaway had 11 points for the Spartans, who went 26-for-32 on free throws.

Chandler Smith had 19 points for the Beetdiggers.

Palo Verde 81, Canyon Springs 78 —
At Canyon Springs, Darryl Gaynor scored 27 points, and Enis Winder added 24 points to help the Panthers nip the Pioneers.

Shaquile Carr scored 27 points, and Tim Straghter added 22 points for the Pioneers, who got 15 points from Chris Swanson.

Chaparral 73, Sunrise Mountain 67 — At Sunrise Mountain, Patrick Savoy scored 29 points to lead the Cowboys past the Miners in a game stopped with roughly three seconds to play after a bench-clearing incident.

Jared Celestine added 23 points for Chaparral, which led 54-42 entering the fourth quarter.

Jason Ford paced Sunrise Mountain with 24 points. Shmarlio Tolliver and Zane Gibbs added 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Desert Oasis 72, Spring Valley 64 — At Spring Valley, Kodi Leslie and Dustin Schwartz each scored 13 points as the Diamondbacks downed the Grizzlies.

Rodrick Moore added 11 points, and Marvin Duty scored 10 for Desert Oasis.

Dionte Humphrey paced Spring Valley with 20 points. Travis Walton contributed 13 points, and Taren Donaldson scored 10 for the Grizzlies.

Eldorado 84, Bonanza 65 — At Bonanza, D.J. Billingsley had 18 points, and Dwayne Tillman scored 17 to lead the Sundevils past the Bengals.

Jayveon Brown had 11 points for Eldorado

Cameron Ladson had 26 points, and Rio Justice Chandler scored 24 points for Bonanza.

Legacy 78, Granite Hills (Calif.) 64 — At Apple Valley, Calif., Donavon Gray had 15 points, and Javon Peterson chipped in 14 points as the Longhorns defeated the Cougars.

Tim Jeffries added 10 points for Legacy, which made 11 3-pointers.

De Angelo Ashley led Granite Hills with 20 points.

Basic 81, Rancho 45 — At Rancho, Antraye Johnson had 18 points, and Devonte Boyd scored 13 to lead the Wolves by the Rams.

Jaylen Rose added 11 points for Basic, which led 23-5 after one quarter.

Josiah Timpson led Rancho with 12 points, and teammate J’men Eagles added 11 points.

Desert Pines 77, Moapa Valley 32 — At Overton, Julian Jacobs scored 16 points to lead the Jaguars by the Pirates.

Coby Myles added 13 points, and Re’meake Keith scored 12 for Desert Pines, which got 10 points from Donavin Wright.

Justin Hughes and Lance Hilton each had eight points to lead Moapa Valley.

Boulder City 43, Faith Lutheran 39 — At Faith Lutheran, Kaleb Bailey scored 20 of his 23 points in the second half as the Eagles rallied past the Crusaders.

Michael Holthus had nine points for Faith Lutheran, which took a 32-26 lead into the fourth quarter.

Virgin Valley 45, Tech 32 — At Mesquite, Garrett Leavitt made four 3-pointers and had 22 points to pace the Bulldogs to a win over the Roadrunners.

Tyson Teerlink scored 13 points, eight of those from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.

Elijah Robertson had 14 points, and Josh West scored 10 for Tech.

Lincoln County 81, Calvary Chapel 66 — At Calvary Chapel, Chandler Katschke scored 32 points to guide the Lynx to a win over the Lions.

Ryan Rippetoe scored 25, and Preston Avery added 17 points for Lincoln County, which rallied from a 35-31 halftime deficit.

Drew Hammond led Calvary Chapel with 26 points. Quintin Hank had 19 points, and Zac Yates scored 10 for the Lions.

Lake Mead 47, Pahranagat Valley 42 — At Alamo, Justin Yamzon scored 35 points, including all 16 of his team’s third-quarter points, as the Eagles edged the Panthers.

Tyler Higbee scored 14 points, and Austin Poulsen added 13 points for Pahranagat Valley.
