Roundup: Centennial collects victory in Nike tournament

Daejah Phillips poured in 21 points Thursday to lead Centennial’s girls basketball team to a 67-50 win over Sanford (Del.) in the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix.
Taylor Bigby added 15 points, and Aishah Brown scored 14 for the Bulldogs, who led 33-23 at the half.
Olivia Tucker led the Warriors with 21 points, and teammate Lauren Park-Lane scored 11.
Faith Lutheran 51, Genesis Prep (Idaho) 32 — At Phoenix, Kelsey Howryla scored 12 points to lead the Crusaders to an easy win over the Jaguars in the Nike Tournament of Champions.
Taylor Etopio and Quianna Brown each added nine points for Faith Lutheran, which led 36-12 at the half.
Rachel Schroeder led Genesis with 14 points, and teammate Bella Murekatete added 12 points.
Needles 53, Lincoln County 29 — At Needles, California, Marie Mills scored 16 points to help the Mustangs pull away from the Lynx.
Paige Murch added 14 points for Needles.
Sadie Soderborg led Lincoln County with 12 points.
Williams Field (Ariz.) 49, Clark 38 — At Phoenix, the Black Hawks topped the Chargers in the Nike Tournament of Champions.
Beaver Dam 26, Sandy Valley 24 — At Sandy Valley, the Diamondbacks grabbed a 10-2 halftime lead and held off the Sidewinders.

Clark 65, Atlantic (Fla.) 33 — At Coral Springs, Florida, Jalen Hill scored 22 points to lead the Chargers by the Seahawks in the Kreul Classic.
Frankie Collins added 16 points and 10 steals for Clark.
