ROUNDUP: Clark boys top Desert Shields, clinch Sunset League crown

Colby Jackson had 15 points Friday to help Clark’s boys basketball team secure the Sunset League title with a 49-35 win over visiting Cheyenne.

Diontae Jones scored 11 for the Chargers.

Juwan Washington and Bryan Laws each scored seven points to lead the Desert Shields.

Bishop Gorman 82, Desert Oasis 38 — At Gorman, Noah Robotham and Stephen Zimmerman each scored 15 points as the Gaels wrapped up at least a share of the Southeast League title by routing the Diamondbacks.

Rashad Muhammad added seven points and six assists, and Chase Jeter had five points and six blocks for Gorman, which got 10 rebounds from Grant Tucker.

Noah Jefferson led Desert Oasis with 10 points.

Desert Pines 54, Virgin Valley 23 — At Mesquite, Donavin Wright scored 14 points to help the Jaguars clinch the Sunrise League title with a win over the Bulldogs.

Coby Myles scored 12 points, and Re’meake Keith added six points and 12 rebounds for Desert Pines, which pulled away early in the second quarter.

Tyson Teerlink led Virgin Valley with eight points.

Centennial 72, Bonanza 45 — At Bonanza, Marcus Allen had 19 points to help the Bulldogs to the easy win over the Bengals.

Malcolm Allen added 16 points for Centennial, which had 11 players score.

Cameron Ladson led Bonanza with 16 points, and Rio Justice Chandler scored 13 for the Bengals.

Legacy 69, Cimarron-Memorial 65 — At Legacy, Donavon Gray had 18 points, and the Longhorns battled back from a 37-31 halftime deficit to edge the Spartans.

Todd Murdock added 17 points, and Javon Peterson scored 10 for Legacy.

Donald Hardaway had 20 points, and Amani Gill scored 10 for Cimarron.

Chaparral 67, Boulder City 56 — At Boulder City, Patrick Savoy scored 25 points as the Cowboys cruised past the Eagles.

Jared Celestine and Tyree McNeal each scored 15 for Chaparral.

Kaleb Bailey led Boulder City with 23 points.

Moapa Valley 61, Tech 44 — At Overton, Justin Hughes had 14 points to guide the Pirates by the Roadrunners.

Lance Hilton added 10 points for Moapa Valley.

Bryan Catenza paced Tech with 13 points. Josh West added 11 points, and Elijah Robertson scored 10 for the Roadrunners.

Faith Lutheran 60, Mojave 39 — At Faith Lutheran, Sam Stevens scored 15 points as the Crusaders topped the Rattlers.

D.J. Manning added 10 points for Faith Lutheran, which held Mojave to 26 points until the four-minute mark of the fourth quarter.

Malik Abbott and Jahlonn Williams each had 10 points for the Rattlers.

Western 53, Pahrump Valley 44 — At Pahrump, Travis Dunn poured in 23 points to lead the Warriors by the Trojans.

Quon Cotton paced Pahrump with 14 points.

Agassi Prep 67, Needles 49 — At Agassi Prep, Steven Jones scored 17 points to lift the Stars over the Mustangs.

Kobe Williams had 11 points, and Dennis Walker and Darius Coaxum each scored 10 for Agassi Prep.

Phillip Chavez had 20 points, and Devin Truscott scored 15 for Needles.

Lincoln County 70, The Meadows 53 — At Panaca, Chandler Katschke registered 28 points and 11 rebounds to lift the Lynx over the Mustangs.

Ryan Rippetoe supplied 26 points and 12 rebounds for Lincoln County, which held a 37-26 halftime lead.

Brandon Rufty had 14 points for The Meadows, which got 12 points from Adam Abdelaziz.

Mountain View 56, Laughlin 47 — At Laughlin, T.J. Kissinger had 14 points, and the Saints outscored the Cougars 20-10 in the second quarter to take control.

Matt Larson added 13 points for Mountain View.

Brett Smith and Averie Prosise each had 13 points for Laughlin, which got 11 points from A.J. Nelson.
