ROUNDUP: Durango edges Spring Valley in boys basketball

Marcus Falley had 11 of his game-high 31 points in the fourth quarter as Durango’s boys basketball team held on for a 58-56 home victory over Spring Valley on Friday.

Shawn Jones added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Trailblazers.

Anton Stallworth had 15 points and Jesse Chippoletti 12 for the Grizzlies.

Coronado 51, Green Valley 50 — At Green Valley, Charlie Wakefield scored a game-high 22 points, including the game-winning basket with less than a minute to go, as the Cougars held off the Gators.

Julian Franklin had 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead Green Valley. Glenn Bewley added 10 points for the Gators.

Centennial 52, Legacy 36 — At Centennial, Matt Holley scored 19 points and Drew Staker 17 as the Bulldogs raced to an early lead and held off the Longhorns.

Centennial grabbed a 28-18 halftime lead and never looked back.

Sian Laine led Legacy with 11 points.

Liberty 51, Basic 47 — At Liberty, Milos Knezevic had 22 points as the Patriots rallied to beat the Wolves.

Liberty trailed 33-32 entering the fourth quarter but took the lead for good with about 3:25 to play.

Vince Carducci led Basic with 13 points.

Foothill 59, Tech 30 — At Tech, Gage Huff led a balanced attack with 10 points, and the Falcons bolted to a 15-3 first-quarter lead and routed the Roadrunners.

Foothill had 12 players score.

Mike Maglich led Tech with eight points. Cornelius Coleman added 10 rebounds for the Roadrunners.

Desert Oasis 55, Clark 49 — At Desert Oasis, Cameron Mich’l and Cameron Jefferson each scored seven points in the fourth quarter to help the Diamondbacks hold off the Chargers.

Mich’l finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Lianzo had 16 points and Jefferson 12.

Rabbit Toler led Clark with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Steven Dancy scored 13 points and Isidro Garcia 10 for the Chargers.

Shadow Ridge 71, Arbor View 63 — At Shadow Ridge, Ray Singatary had 13 points in a 25-12 second-quarter run to help the Mustangs down the Aggies.

Singatary had 20 points and nine rebounds. Zach Hafen added 19 points and 10 rebounds for Shadow Ridge

Darington Banks led Arbor View with 21 points. Maiscei Grier and Kenny Mack each scored 12 for the Aggies.

Mojave 49, Cimarron-Memorial 42 — At Mojave, Anthony Marshall scored 23 points to lead the Rattlers past the Spartans.

Kevin James added 13 points for Mojave, which held on despite shooting 5-for-13 from the free-throw line.

Kevin Olekaibe scored 17 points and Dale Puckett 12 for Cimarron.

Sierra Vista 81, Pahrump Valley 42 — At Sierra Vista, Amir Garrett had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Mountain Lions in their win over the Trojans.

Dallin Molina had 14 points and 18 rebounds, Darian Yahyavi 16 points, Quinten Chow 13 points and Justice Odabi 11 points for Sierra Vista.

Pahrump Valley’s Alex Anderson scored 12 points on four 3-pointers. Marvin Weekly added 10 points for the Trojans.

Bishop Gorman 75, Western 61 — At Western, Mike Loyd scored 18 points and Kylel Coleman 14 as the Gaels downed the Warriors.

Taylor Spencer added 12 points and Shabazz Muhammad 11 for Gorman, which used an 18-11 third quarter to pull away.

Western’s Johnnie Diggs had 13 points, De’Andre Nash scored 12, and Deion Harrell and Melvin Washington each had 10 points.

Silverado 106, Del Sol 69 — At Silverado, Wade Collie had 28 points and 12 rebounds as the Skyhawks routed the Dragons.

Ali Sabra had 30 points and Ruben Jackson 14 for Silverado.

Jeff Coon scored 28 points and Chris Sanders 17 for Del Sol.

Calvary Chapel 66, Agassi Prep 65 — At Calvary Chapel, Tyler Moore’s layup in the final minute propelled the Lions to the win.

Dario Rahming had 21 points and 11 rebounds for Calvary Chapel, which got 14 points from Brandon Corbitt.

Aerontay Shepherd scored 23 points and Quincy Brown 17 for Agassi Prep.

Needles 74, The Meadows 53 — At Needles, Stevie Kidd had 29 points to lead Needles.

Michael Hills added 16 points, and Darra Russell had 10 points and nine rebounds for Needles.

Garrett Gosse had 17 points and Max Newman 15 for The Meadows, which led 20-15 after the first quarter.

Boulder City 53, Moapa Valley 37 — At Overton, the Eagles took a 14-2 lead after one quarter on the way to the win.

Preston Swasey led Boulder City with 11 points. Joey Western and Alex Dillon each scored 10 for the Eagles.

Virgin Valley 57, Faith Lutheran 46 — At Virgin Valley, Terran Leavitt scored 21 points for the Bulldogs in their win over the Crusaders.

Virgin Valley trailed 10-6 in the first quarter but went on a 17-2 run to take the lead.

Virgin Valley’s Austin Cloes scored 17 points, and teammate Anthony Morris had nine points, seven rebounds and seven blocked shots.

Brett Lubbe scored 18 points and Chase Sanders 12 for Faith Lutheran.

Mountain View 69, White Pine 48 — At Mountain View, Justyn Anderson had 21 points and seven rebounds, and the Saints used a 25-11 second-quarter run to put away the Bobcats.

Cortland LeBoeuf added 15 points and Raymond Velarde 11 for Mountain View.

Johnny Holloway led White Pine with 12 points.

Lincoln County 90, West Wendover 55 — At Panaca, Dantley Walker hit eight 3-pointers on his way to 43 points to lead the Lynx to the rout of the Wolverines.

Eric Rippetoe and Trent Tibbitts scored 14 points each for Lincoln County, which outscored West Wendover 43-21 in the second half.

Drew Arrien paced West Wendover with 30 points. Brandon Hoston added 14.

Beatty 59, Round Mountain 43 — At Beatty, Anthony Regalado had 16 points to lead the Hornets past the Knights.

Ivan Maldonado added 14 points and Jacob Sumpter 10 for Beatty.

Clint Wilson led Round Mountain with 20 points.

The top four Class 5A boys basketball teams — Coronado, Liberty, Bishop Gorman and Arbor View — will play for the state title Thursday and Friday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
